INTRO
This is a conversion of my original mod on Fallout 3 Nexus!
Meet Scratch! She's a (slightly) ghoulish scavenger who'll accompany you through the Mojave! She may be small, but she has an enormous personality and a wicked sense of humour to make up for it. Armed with a uniquely crafted melee weapon, and a modified version of the dart gun from Fallout 3, Scratch is more than capable of dealing with many of the horrors of post-apocalyptic Nevada.
FEATURES
- Fully functional companion, with a working companion wheel.
- A small quest that rewards you with your own copy of Scratch's unique weapons.
- A whole new interior zone, located near the West Pump Station.
- Over 200 lines of dialogue, created in Elevenlabs AI by Lovelit!
- An armour switching system, activated via dialogue, which features four made-to-measure outfits.
- Literal MINUTES of content!
LOCATION
Scratch can be found near Lone Wolf Radio, a short trip south of Goodsprings.
INSTALLATION
Make sure to install NVSE first!
If you're using Vortex/Mod Organizer 2, it should be as simple as clicking download and installing.
To install manually, extract the contents of the JNCompanionScratch into your fallout new vegas/data folder.
To uninstall, delete JNCompanionScratch.esp, along with the JuicyNuggins folders located in data/meshes and data/textures.
AUTHOR'S NOTES
It has been a year since I released the original mod for Fallout 3 (as of writing this description). It's been a tough yar for me personally, but I've been blown away by the love for the original mod. I figured it was time to finally work on the New Vegas conversion!
RECOMMENDED MODS
This mod doesn't have any additional requirements (other than NVSE), however, there are a few mods that will enhance your experiences through the wasteland with Scratch!

Scratch's skin and outfits were made by frankensteining parts of other modder's work together. A lot of these assets I've had for a very long time, and
I've long since forgotten where I got them from. However, I'll attempt to list off some names I managed to find, many of which are no longer available on the nexus.
Lovelit and Kalvarie (Probably did more work than me. Basically made my mod playable. Gave Scratch a voice. These two incredible people have worked tirelessly to bring Scratch to life.)

WARNING
Scratch is a child character. However, due to limitations of the engine, she had to be flagged as an adult. This will give her
default adult movement animations, but also, it makes it possible for her to die. If this is an issue, I have included an optional file which flags her as 'essential' making her unkillable, like children in the vanilla game.
Note from the author: It has come to my attention that there are some extremely inappropriate mods using these assets out there. I am ONLY affiliated with this mod and the original FO3 version.
