Attention! This version is recommended only for those who want to see original icons colorful. There is a more recent version with many new icons and coloring options: True Colorful Map Marker Icons !!!
Description:
Turns white icons into colored ones from mod Clean Vanilla Hud
(the author remade the mod and now these icons are in Map Marker Icons).
Requirements:
VUI+ or DarnUI
Fully compatible for TTW (but not required).

For VUI+ users:
You can download the optional file to increase the brightness of the map.
Or you can fix it yourself by opening settings.xml:
find string ---> <_VUI+ShilohCleanPip> 0 </_VUI+ShilohCleanPip>
change the value to what you want, up to 127.
My file is set to 50, higher value ---> brighter map.
For DarnUI users:
You can download the optional file to increase the brightness of the map.
Or you can fix it yourself by opening map_menu.xml:
find string ---> <hotrect name="MM_WorldMap_ParentImage">
change the value to what you want, up to 255 ---> <alpha> 128 </alpha>
My file is set to 185, higher value ---> brighter map.
