DESCRIPTION
Here's yet another in my series of base game asset NIF-bashes inspired by real-world weapons! This time around, I wanted to make the Fallout universe's version of the Mk 14 EBR, a modernized update to the venerable Vietnam-era M14, which itself was intended to be a modernized update to the WWII/Korean War-era M1 Garand, the weapon that This Machine is modeled after.

I started with the base game This Machine mesh and chopped down the barrel and stock before adding the pistol grip and buttstock from the Marksman Carbine and the buffer tube from the Assault Carbine. Next, I modified the Service Rifle magazine to resemble a 20-round .308 mag and then added the flash hider from the legacy-content G3 rifle and a modified 9mm Pistol hammer as the safety paddle. Finally, I converted the mesh to use the Service Rifle's handling, firing and reload animations.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon is a hybrid between the Service Rifle and This Machine. It can be modded with a Hunting Rifle scope and Sniper Rifle suppressor. I've also added the weapon to all the appropriate form lists, so that all perks and challenges that affect rifles will work as expected.

This mod is intended to use the generic Battle Rifle textures from the Gun Runners' Arsenal DLC, although I've also included a base game only compatible version if you don't have the DLC and don't mind having "WELL THIS MACHINE KILLS COMMIES" scratched into the side of every single one of these guns.

LOCATION
The weapon can be purchased from vendors throughout the Wasteland, and found in the same random loot drops as the Sniper Rifle. Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console commands (Substitute ## with the number of the mod in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1 ;Gives 1 Enhanced Battle Rifle

INSTALLATION
Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
