Hello everybody! This is a quick little mod that adds my personal player character, Agnessa Bozarth, as a very simple voiced follower in Goodsprings.

The file requires no DLC and has been cleaned with FNVEDIT, so it should be safe for everybody to use. Still, you should always make a backup save before installing ANY mod, in case something goes wrong.


>WHAT
My player character is now available as a follower, wowza! Really basic options - wait, trade, set custom home and wait. Essential and without companion wheel. Comes voiced (with vanilla lines), carries around a cool custom power fist, and gives you a perk when hired that increases Science by 5.

Someone requested that I share one of Agnessa's saves so they could turn her into a preset, but since I've tweaked my load order and mods quite a bit with several merges I figured it would be easier to make her an NPC instead. Then I thought she could be voiced... then I figured I could throw together some quick companion functionality... and now I'm releasing it before I get the urge to make a quest or something.

This is the only character I've ever played in Fallout ever since I first got the games -- same gal in both FO3 and FNV. Her backstory is rather personal and pretty convoluted, so I didn't mention it in the mod. But she does come from somewhere in DC, likes chickens, Mr Burke and Nuka-Cola. She has tested ALL of my mods to find bugs, performance issues and the like, so rest assured she has seen some dark stuff... Such as this.

As this was something I made as a request, I WILL NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES. I will not add to it or subtract from this mod. This is offered as-is. If you want to change ANYTHING AT ALL, do it yourself with the GECK or FNVEDIT.


>REQUIRED MODS
The "Full" version requires Jack And The Fallout Effect by Xazomn, but just the assets (meshes and textures), not the ESM itself. Everything else is included in the BSA. Please note that, in this version, removing her outfit will leave her completely naked. Nothing I can do there, so if that ain't your jam plan accordingly. Features a snazzy hairstyle from Megaton Hairs - Vegas Edition by zzjay as well.

The "Vanilla" version, as you may imagine, does not require anything besides the base game. Agnessa wears some default clothing, regular power fist + PipBoy, and was assigned the game's Caucasian race - all strictly vanilla, indeed. The BSA only has the voices, nothing more.

Use only one or the other, not both.


>UPDATES
Version 1.4 is the final one. Alongside some general optimization and cleanup, it changes the models for the eyes, giving them new textures and normal maps. Also finally gives her the Wanda hairstyle that zzjay helped me with back in the day (I couldn't make the actual coloring work... for shame!) with a snazzy tinted texture courtesy of the amazing Mekasaa. The pipboy glove has also been removed and the outfit updated with improved meshes featuring shorts and sneakers.

The NPC Burke available has also been updated with new eyes and a beard that includes the little braid he currently uses.

Remember that this Burke is an extremely basic NPC with no dialogue, unique voice or anything. He must be spawned with the console and his AI package is to follow Agnessa around. To spawn him you can either use his ID (xx003061, change xx to the mod's load order number) or, if you have JIP LN NVSE, you can search for Burke to get his ID that way.

Burke piggybacks on Agnessa's custom race for his unique hair and eyes, but the rest is vanilla stuff so he should be compatible with body mods. His inventory has some vanilla clothes, and can be accessed easily using a tool such as The Groovatron. And, as the note on his name kindly suggests, for maximum authenticity, his scale should be set to 1.08.


>RECOMMENDED MODS
To make the Nuka cap necklace look super fancy, I advise you install Nuka-Cola Hi-Res Retexture by 6IX. And for super realistic, amazing eyeglasses, I personally use and endorse Improved Eyeglasses by Lorrie.


>WHERE
At the Prospector's Saloon in Goodsprings, of course!


>INSTALL
To install, extract the contents of your downloaded file to your "Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout New Vegas/Data" folder. Then activate the mod through your preferred launcher by ticking the checkbox next to the esp. Or you can use your mod manager of choice to download the mod automatically. To uninstall, simply delete the files from your Data folder, and you're good to go. Have fun!

- I downscaled a lot of textures to help reduce the file size, but when it comes to upscaling textures, I am at a loss because I am no good at texturing, so what you see is what you get. In other words...

- Is this compatible with [mod]?
- Dunno. This is all pretty self-contained, so if you can't find her just move the mod around your load order. If you find any conflicts, please let me know so I can list them here.

- How come the mod looks different in my game than your screenshots?
- I am using several retextures in my own game, SweetFX and Cow Food - or - Yet Another Grass Mod, so results may vary.

- The mod is awful/glitchy/buggy/etc. I am going to uninstall it and I must let everybody know!
