Hello everybody! This is a small mod for TTW that adds a small cafe across the Potomac from Dukov's Place, a conversion of the original mod made for Fallout 3. It is fully voiced, has been cleaned with FNVEDIT, and needless to say, requires Tale of Two Wastelands and all DLC for FNV.

skyrimlu converted this ages ago, but some time ago I started dabbling into TTW conversions and figured I could give this a go myself as practice. Feel free to use whichever you prefer, but not both at the same time. Thanks again, skyrimlu!

The mod is an ESM file to prevent the navmesh degradation bug and has been cleaned with FNVEDIT. Still, you should always make a backup save before installing ANY mod, in case something goes wrong.

= WHAT =
Just a cafe with an essential custom-voiced merchant. She has a dash of backstory and the player can get a discount with her through a speech challenge. The place is navmeshed thanks to RoyBatterian. There are two sandboxing NPCs that you may disable with the console if they bother you.

You can activate a switch in the enclosed area (above the jukebox) to open the windows and the curtains. The lights will automatically be turned off during the day and turned on at night. One of my ever-so-popular Pick 'n' Joy vending machines can be found here, too. You can barter with the merchant directly by using the menu activators on the tables. If you are sitting when you activate them you will be forced to stand up - engine limitation I guess.

I decorated the cafe with a bit of a nautical theme, just for fun. There are two new magazines and two consumables. Mod-added food will most likely appear in the merchant's inventory if they were added to the regular vendor food leveled lists.

= TTW CHANGES =
- The merchant has a chance to have some Mojave foods available for sale. A letter explains this a bit.
- The magazines work as the ones in New Vegas and check for the correct perks.
- The food sample restores a bit of hunger if hardcore mode is on and has a custom inventory icon.
- A new drink is available to buy, with custom model and icon as well.
- Fixed up some activator prompts.
- The jukebox now plays music instead of connecting to GNR. The radio in the open area still has Three Dog.
- New Vegas Nuka-Colas and Sunset Sarsaparilla added to vending machine list with very low odds.
- Flipped accidentally mirrored texture and decor.
- Greatly upped the volume of the merchant's voice files -- was it always this low?
- Voice file format changed to OGG in order to reduce file size.
- Gave the merchant eyebrows, because I somehow forgot. Derp.
- Fixed dialogue prompts to reflect NV mechanics.
- Removed a few foods from the display shelf to help reduce the performance hit.
- Fixed the shelf mesh to prevent it from glowing bight white in the sun.
- The empty cooking pot can now be used to cook food (optional).

= WHERE =
Across the river from Dukov's Place. It has a map marker, although you will have to visit before you can fast travel.

= WHY =
This mod was mostly me experimenting with Blender. I got the idea while working on a certain big NV mod, but pushed it aside until I found the time to make it, so here it is. I built the structure by combining several pieces from Little Lamplight, because I wanted a place to take pictures of my character going on dates with her sweety-pie.

= HOW =
To install, extract the contents of your downloaded file to your "Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout New Vegas/Data" folder. Then activate the mod through your preferred launcher by ticking the checkbox next to the esp. Or you can use your mod manager of choice to download the mod automatically. To uninstall, simply delete the files from your Data folder, and you're good to go. Have fun!

= FAQ =

- I hate [thing] and [thing] and [thing]! You should have done [thing] and [thing] instead! And while you're at it remove [thing] and [thing] and add [thing] and [thing]! And [thing] is NOT LORE FRIENDLY! FIX THIS!
- This isn't a restaurant. If you don't like something, use the console to disable it, remove it with the GECK or FO3EDIT, or sell it off. I am done with the mod and won't be making any changes. In other words...

- Why is the download so freakin' big for such a small mod! I can't be bothered, it's gonna take me ages!
- There are many unique assets in the mod that were required to achieve the look I was going for. There are also voice files for dialogue and lip-synch. In other words...

- I went there and for some reason the merchant NPC is nowhere to be found!
- Activate the "ring for service" bell on the counter and the NPC will be teleported behind the counter automagically.

- The voice acting is dreadful! What an amateur! Redo the voice roles now!
- I fully stand by my voice actress. If you have a complaint about them and desperately need to PM someone about it, send the complaints to me. Afterwards, please find a professional voice actress willing to do all of this for free, re-record everything, do the lip-sync, correct the subtitles if needed, upload it to the Nexus and send me a link so I can check it out and link it here on the mod page. Until then...

- The new textures are too low res and ugly! I cannot stand this!
- I downscaled a lot of textures to help reduce the file size, but when it comes to upscaling textures, I am at a loss because I am no good at texturing, so what you see is what you get. In other words...

- I'm lagging all over the place! Help!
- I tested this mod on a heavily modded setup, on a mid-range gaming laptop. The area is a bit demanding because it's all in the open, but it shouldn't be too bad. If you're playing on a coal-powered machine, you will definitively have some performance loss. Feel free to open the mod in the GECK and remove some decor if you want.

- I hate everything being static! I wanna pick things up!
- I don't like knocking things around all the time, and Fallout 3 has plenty of clutter everywhere already. In other words...

- Is this compatible with [mod]?
- Dunno. I have no idea if there are other TTW mods that put stuff here. If you find any conflicts, please let me know so I can list them here.

- How come the mod looks different in my game than your screenshots?
- I am using several retextures in my own game, SweetFX and Cow Food - or - Yet Another Grass Mod, so results may vary.

- The mod is awful/glitchy/buggy/etc. I am going to uninstall it and I must let everybody know!
- Sad to see you go~

- The mod sucks!
- So does a vaccuum cleaner
