Have you ever thought, by what strange ways we get unique weapons ingame? Most of them just scattered among the wasteland here and there, some of them are property of merchants. Rarely they have any significant story. Who made them, who owned them - that is mostly unknown. And the saddest thing is, that you just scavenge it. Scavenge someone else's story and life.

WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT

This mod adds the most logical way to create your own unique weapon - by getting regular weapon and tinkering it on a workbench. Your unique weapons are easier to use, DAM and Critical chance increased; your unique weapon will get it's custom icon. Some of them can be modded with vanilla mod kits; it will cause boost in attributes, but mostly don't affect their appearance (except scopes).

Here is the list of guns currently made. I added some paragraphs of info to each weapon.

One is for quotes used - if there were any (notice, that I used only part of quote to create a desired mood for gun. Original quote can be waaaay different).

Second is about conditions - you can't just make them out of air, you need to be inspired by something! These are bits and pieces, trinkets from wasteland - books, holotapes... They can be found on roads mostly (because I wanted to avoid mod conflicts with player houses, town overhauls, etc). Optional file section have a "SPOILERS" folder with text about clear wereabouts of each special ingredient and a folder with screenshots of all locations.

Other than that, for making every weapon you will need a Paint Gun and, sometimes, some other ingredients - very common ones, so the most difficult part is to get a "blank" weapon, for creating it's custom variant!


Li Grande Zombi - poisoned machete
Idea by Dimensionlord1. This machete is connected with voodoo rituals and dedicated to Damballah-Wedo, voodoo spirit of creation, a loving father to the world. Machete is decorated with plenty of voodoo snake "veves', because Damballah-Wedo is depicted as a serpent or snake, and his veves reflect this aspect of him. To those who brings destruction to this world and thus corrupt creative spirit (i.e. your enemies), Li Grande Zombie machete gives additional poison damage -2 HP for 5 seconds. Affected by "Cowboy" perk.

Conditions
Machete, Paint Gun. Inside the gullet of Great Evil itself you'll find a book about magic rituals. Divide it into two parts with your knife. One part will tell you everything you need to know about voodoo rituals. Keep the other part for now ;)
Next step is, while creating a weapon, to make an offering to Damballah-Wedo, which can be flour and white plant - let it be Xander Root.


Whacker and Smacker - cleaver
 Idea by Dimensionlord1. Originally inspired by the song "Butcher Pete", Whacker and Smacker is a weapon with strong personality of insane murderer and ladie's man B) Among all, decorated with song quote on the iron part of handle. Affected by "Cowboy" perk.

Conditions
Cleaver, Paint Gun. And a music record. You can find it near rusty trailer of certain lier, who sends you to do some gecko fightin', lizard choppin' to save some woman's meat.



The Governor - Hunting Revolver
 Idea by mstiffany. First story- and quest-aware weapon. The great law enforcer, law-bringer, this revolver will remember everyone, who want to stand against wasteland justice - even if you fight the law, the law will always win!

Conditions
Hunting revolver, Paint Gun. Also you need a shiny example of law-fighting. Not just from some lousy gangsters, as you may thought, no. Aim bigger! There are some rumors about one high-ranked NCR member, who fights the law - but he has very good reasons to do it. If you will support his idea, he'll give you a written mastepiece - a Note About Reasons. Or you can wait, until he'll kill himself to take it.



Vault Nostalgia - 10mm pistol

Idea and texture by BfreeNation. This weapon is based on fate of someone, who came from the project Brazil. During her travels she etches the amount of days, she has been out of Vault 18 and has even painted her original pistol so that it looks and feels closer to home. Homesick is natural for all of us, but what about the Courier? The Courier's memory is a blank spot without any knowledge of home... This is a valid reason to memorize such extensive love of home the same way, as Vault dwellers do it!

Conditions
For creating such weapon, you need to find a Diary About 33 days Out Of The Vault. The clue is more than clear this time - 188/11.
And don't forget 10mm pistol and Paint Gun.


Brother Bear - .45 pistol (from Paint Your Weapon - Honest Hearts Edition)

Idea by perrytheplatipus. Finally paint guns reached Honest Hearts' weapons! Brother Bear is an NCR-themed pistol, dedicated to an infamous NCR ranger, gunslinger, hater of the Legion. Decorated with NCR and Rangers symbols, "For the Republic" motto, image of decapitated Bull and 25 notches, each notch for a Legionnaire killed, this pistol will be a reliable friend for those, who steps for NCR.

Conditions
.45 pistol, Paint Gun, and a Wanted Poster With Ranger. One of Legion commanders, who is most of all concerned with paperwork, hanged one on his headquarter's wall.


Lead Inhalant - Lever-action shotgun

Idea by Colonelgames. It's a weapon, made by player, when he or she is supposed to be high, that is why it looks like that - painted all over with strange drawings, mad phrases an so on. While being a "drugged" weapon it can knock your enemies down!
Affected by "Cowboy" perk.

Lever-Action shotgun, Paint Gun, and an Unusual Drug Mix, to make it! Jack and Diane tried to make some unusual drugs in past days, can't say if it was success or not - they just left it on the ground near their lab. 


Cavalier - Cowboy repeater

Soul of the desert, spirit of the Old World riders! Decorated with whole herd of horses and only one rider, deals +10 damage to anyone, who is that stupid to attack you. Affected by "Cowboy" perk.

Cowboy repeater, Paint Gun, and a musical record "Born a Rider". Someone of caravaneers dropped it, while stickin' near NCR, waitin' for them to clean up Long 15.


"His Terrible Swift Sword" - Tri-beam laser rifle

Enclave-themed rifle for those, who remember Navarro. Idea by Flash277. It has Old World Flag, remembrance slogan and verses of The Battle Hymn Of The Republic painted on it. Also, red trigger. It gives +15 DAM to everyone and everything, who is NCR or BOS.

Tri-beam rifle, Paint Gun, and, of course, secret ingredient. Which is a book, book with memoirs of living in Enclave.
There is a rumor, that a former Enclave soldier settled down in Primm long time ago. Maybe, you may find some of his stuff there? Just remember, that "settling down" means "living in a house".


Remembrance - Switchblade

Idea by ThatDude444. How many things you can write on your own small switchblade! It is inspired by a note, found on cemetery, which dedicated to value of each life - life of a man, buried long ago, life of the Courier, saved on the same cemetery, and even life of nameless coyote, whose hide became covering of switchblade hilt. Remembrance gives +5 DAM to bad guys - they don't worth mourning and must be dealt with as soon, as possible. Affected by "Cowboy" perk.

Quotes used
The note would be there for the lost of the wasteland, a shining example that there can be good in the world and not all lives lost are left unmourned.

Switchblade, Paint Gun, coyote hide and, of course, said note. It's on the cemetery! We don't have much official cemetery's 'ere in the Mohave, especially THAT important ones.


Excalibur MKII - Anti-Materiel rifle

Noble weapon for true Wasteland Cruseder. Decorated with King Arthur's emblems, templar cross and heartful quotes from classics literature. Excalibur MKII have a speciall effect - +20 to damage for npc-s with Evil karma. Kill your Mordred, King Arthur!

Anti-Materiel Rifle, Paint Gun. The "Chemical X" here is a book, "Legends of King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table", it can be found in the place with pillaged caravan very close to small silent town, where the story begins.
If you find it difficult to get Anti-Materiel Rifle (because you have GRA DLC), Vendotron and Alexander are selling some.


Moonlight After Midnight - Machete

Poetic, but harsh weapon. Name "Moonlight After Midnight" is taken from Sex Pistols song "No Feelings", handle is decorated with 4 moon glyphs - "Fear", "Sword", "Death" and "Power". Affected by "Cowboy" perk.

Conditions
Machete, Paint Gun. Also you need a Holotape With A Strange Song - pick it on the way to one of radio stations (the one with the most romantic name!).


Puritate Iustitiae - .44 Magnum Revolver

Long Live The Legion! And if you want to live that long too, you need a proper weapon against all the profligates. "Puritate Iustitiae", while alredy being a strong weapon, deals +10 damage to all who are not Legion. "Butcher them. Pile body upon body."
Affected by "Cowboy" perk.

Conditions
"Puritate iustitiae" means "Purity of Justice" on latin. Remember, you said (or could say) something about purity of Legion justice before? A scrap of paper with these words still lying on that very place, among fire and crucified degenerates.
And, of course, you need .44 Magnum and Paint Gun.


Rose, .357 Revolver & Fox, hunting rifle.

Based on characters of Antoine de Saint-Exupery book "The Little Prince". While Rose is plainly strong revolver for any gunslinger, Fox have some unique quality - it gives +20 damage to any animal. Affected by "Cowboy" perk.

Conditions
First of all you need to get a book. "The Little Prince" book is in the same place as "Legends of King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table" book.
After you got the base ingredient, cut the book in two halves. With a knife. From this point use a Paint Gun on .357 Revolver or Hunting Rifle with the right part of book and Voila! you made it ;)
You may use some Wonderglue on book halves after you made both weapons to get the complete book again.


BlackList - Antimateriel rifle

BlackList is a gravestone to all your enemies and people, who tried to kill you. It has a counter of killed individuals, list of your mortal enemies (yes, there is Benny's name in that list!) and a motivational quote in case you will catch a wet-noodle mood and think about forgiving everyone. These guys hurt you? Give them good old revenge with +20 to damage for any Evil npc!

I can make some customs based on your characters too! But remember, the main point of mod is to inspire your character to create a unique weapon, based on some bit he or she found in the wasteland :)
