Hi!

With this mod you can craft all different kinds of Missiles, 25mm Grenades, 40mm Grenades, Plasma Grenades, Plasma Mines, Pulse Grenades, Pulse Mines. And Conductors. These are crafted at the Reloading Bench or Workbench and require Explosive or Science skill to craft. A Conductor recipe is added to make the Missiles crafting easier.

These recipes are quite generous to the player and that is intended. Not to give the player an unfair advantage, but rather to encourage the player that crafting these things is worth the player's time.

Recipes:

5x Missiles, Reloading Bench:
Normal (55 Explosives Skill): 1x conductor, 200x rifle powder, 5x tin can, 50x flamer fuel
High Velocity (65 Explosives Skill): 1x conductor, 200x rifle powder, 5x tin can, 100x flamer fuel
High Explosive (70 Explosives Skill): 1x conductor, 400x rifle powder, 5x tin can, 50x flamer fuel
Hive (75 Explosives Skill): 1x conductor, 300x pistol powder, 15x tin cans, 100x flamer fuel

1 Conductor, Workbench (30 Repair Skill): 3x scrap metal

25mm Grenades, Reloading Bench:
Normal (35 Explosives Skill): 1x primer large rifle, 25x rifle powder, 1x tin can
High Explosive (40 Explosives Skill): 1x primer large rifle, 35x rifle powder
5x Timed (60 Explosives Skill): 1x primer large rifle, 25x rifle powder, 5x tin can, 1x egg timer
Pulse (35 Science Skill): 1x primer large rifle, 6x EC, 1x tin can
Plasma (50 Science Skill): 1x primer large rifle, 6x MFC, 1x tin can

40mm Grenades, Reloading Bench:
Normal (40 Explosives Skill): 1x primer large rifle, 40x rifle powder, 1x tin can
Incendiary (55 Explosives Skill): 1x primer large rifle, 20x flamer fuel, 1x tin can
Pulse (40 Science Skill): 1x primer large rifle, 10x EC, 1x tin can
Plasma (60 Science Skill): 1x primer large rifle, 10x MFC, 1x tin can

3x Pulse Grenade, Workbench (30 Science Skill): 1x scrap electronics, 15x EC
3x Pulse Mine, Workbench (35 Science Skill): 1x scrap electronics, 15x EC, 3x sensor module

3x Plasma Grenade, Workbench (60 Science Skill): 1x scrap electronics, 20x MFC
3x Plasma Mine, Workbench (60 Science Skill): 1x scrap electronics, 20x MFC, 3x sensor module



Thoughts Behind the Recipes:

Missiles:
  • The Conductor in the Missile recipe is supposed to emulate the Piezoelectric Sensor found in RPGs. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piezoelectric_sensor ) I considered using Cherry Bombs and Primers instead, but I decided against it.
  • The Rifle Powder is supposed to be the actual explosive. I considered having Dynamite instead of powder but then we would have to make a Dynamite crafting recipe and I thought I would just cut out the middle man.
  • The Tin Can is supposed to be the casing for the Missile.
  • The Flamer Fuel is supposed to give the Missile thrust.

25mm & 40mm Grenades:
  • The Primer Large Rifle is supposed to trigger the explosive.
  • The Rifle Powder is supposed to be the actual explosive.
  • The Tin Can is supposed to be the casing for the grenade.

Plasma (& Pulse) Grenades and Mines:
  • I loosely based the material requirement for the Plasma Grenades and Mines on how much damage a Plasma Rifle shot does and how much ammo that takes.
  • MFCs are Micro Fusion Cells, I figured they're potent enough to create plasma if wired properly by the Scrap Electronics.
  • The Plasma and Pulse Mines require 1x Sensor Module per mine, otherwise it would be too overpowered compared to the other mine recipes that already exist in the game.
