About this mod

Are you tired of seeing all of the potential in HELIOS One but not being able to do anything about it? This mod remedies that problem.

The Brotherhood's HELIOS One

So this mod changes most things in the HELIOS One Plant, Tower, Deck, Perimeter, and adds a secret vault underneath it.

 The Plant

The power plant itself is cleaned up and reorganized so that it looks like an old brotherhood base which is being occupied by the NCR. I always thought it was absolutely bizarre that the brotherhood was never represented at HELIOS, even in the parts that were supposedly 'untouched' by the NCR, like the solar tower and deck. So I put in some placards, covered them with NCR flags, cleaned the place up to not look like an absolute wreck. The doors have all been replaced by pre-war office doors for some additional aesthetic, and the 'very easy' locked side-door now matches the door it connects to.

The Perimeter

Many things could've been done here, to include a complete replace of the old fence with the clean pre-war anchorage fences, but that's a little extreme I thought. Mostly I've just gotten rid of the crumbling shacks that housed the terminals for the up link to the tower, and replaced them with military tents and re-navmeshed the area to perform better. If you're going to explore HELIOS with an old save file, there may be more than 3 dogs if you hadn't killed them. UPDATE: The tents are now higher than the standard character models so everyone and their dog should be able to fit under there.

The Tower

Most noticeable changes were done to the HELIOS One tower cell. I've completely cleaned it up and hand-placed new and refurbished furniture, terminals, robots, and traps, and cleaned it thoroughly to match the standards of a brotherhood base. There's BoS decals adorning almost all facets of the base, painted on or printed on flags and hung up. The robots have been completely replaced to prevent conflicts in games and to make it more smooth. Unfortunately I've had to remove the turret trap in the beginning because it was just too buggy.

The Deck

The deck is my favorite area. All of the disabled lights have been re-activated, all the office supplies have been restored and repositioned, BoS logos and flags adorn the new terminals and walls, and Elijah's old room is now available as a player home. A couple new weapons, no new textures or meshes though, and some free robes too. A good amount of storage for whatever you've got, as well. There's a map marker at the bottom of the stairs on the deck outside the door to the wilderness to facilitate easy traveling to and from the deck.

The Vault

Now to talk about what I'm sure you're all clamoring to hear of; the mysterious new vault under the tower that eluded the Brotherhood for the longest time. We all know that Poseidon was heavily linked to the Pre-War Enclave, so wouldn't it make sense if there were some control vaults underneath key Poseidon facilities, for the personnel who couldn't get to the oil rig in time? It made sense to me, at least. So there's a new hand-made vault under the tower, hidden from sight, with a few little prototype gizmos available inside. That's all I'm going to say, the rest has to be discovered by you.

If you're having trouble finding the vault, you'll get directions in the Readme enclosed with the mod.

Bugs

~ Tent is too low for me to get in! I can't finish my quests!
Solved: The tents are now raised to a normal height.

~ I crash when I enter the solar tower ):
Solved?: I got rid of some horrible conflicts inside and that -should- fix it, but I've not experienced the problem so you're going to have to tell me in the comments / bugs section.

~ I miss maiming all the robots in the facility and the quest is boring now.
Solved: All robots have been returned to godless killing machines as per requested, except for the protectron trap at the bottom of the tower.
