What is The Eastside Project? Well, it's a planned series of small mods I'm making to add something for the (apparent) NCR squatters who are (apparently) filling up Freeside. I was disappointed the first time I played the game and did the quests for the Kings, imagining some enormous street battle between Freeside locals and the squatters. But...well...it didn't happen. Add to that, you can't find many squatters, and there's a HUGE amount of unused space near Cerulean Robotics, and...I decided to add a shanty town for them. This is my second mod for the Eastside Project - and now a vigilante group has set up in Eastside. They're taking on the Legion soldiers that the NCR don't have the resources to chase down. And they need new members...
What's included in the mod?
A new faction, trackable in your pipboy
New buildings and dungeons
New armors and weapons (textures only, Blender doesn't work on my computer)
Tons of new NPCs
Several new quests (some within quests) that will track around the Mojave
New NPCs patrolling outside Freeside
All fully voiced and lip-synced
AND...a reinstated Malpais Legion Camp, a location that was cut from the final game
An NPC doctor
An NPC to repair weapons/armour
All lore-friendly
The Eastside Alliance building is near the Cerulean Robotics building, so you can begin there. ;) *NOTE* The quests do not always lead you straight to the clues. Sometimes you'll have to search bodies, click on objects, all kinds of stuff.
*An extra hint...for one of the weapons, you'll need to have started the 'Vigilante' quests. When you see another slave pen as part of one of the quests, search around nearby against the cliffs for a dead NCR Ranger.
What Other Mods Are Destined For Eastside/Already There?
Eastside Project - Eastside Market: A small shanty-town market and beds for the NCR squatters. It has a couple of very simple quests. It's designed to fill up that empty carpark a little more in that area. Just click here to see it!
Eastside Project - Garage: Something I'm still grappling with, but I think I'll get it out in the end. I'm a bit perplexed as to how there's vertibirds and such, and the NCR did use vehicles before...and now no one seems to have considered it again. So I'm thinking some sort of Moira-like eccentric who might just want to set up a kind of taxi service across the Mojave. Possibly with the aid of fast travel. We'll see.
Eastside Project - Arena: Says it all, really. An arena for the squatters of Eastside to relax and earn a few caps. And if a wandering courier should happen to want to join in, so much the better. There's going to be a number of quests and smaller locations that go along with this one, too.
Eastside Project - Random Shops: Basically filling up some of the empty buildings around the same area as the rest of the shanty town, but it's still undecided what exactly they're going to be. If anyone has a suggestion, pop it in the comments, and I'll try to work the best ones in.
Conflicting Mods
Any mod that uses some of the buildings near Cerulean Robotics.
This mod conflicts with A World of Pain, as fiends kill some of the quest targets ahead of time. HOWEVER...the particular targets are set to respawn, so with a bit of timing between killing the fiends and the targets, you might be able to work around this.

Anything else I need to know before downloading?
When you get to the point with *SPOILERS* two women as captives, you often have to speak to both of them before both of them will leave. Just a heads-up.
Requirements
The Lonesome Road add on is needed for one of the weapons, but otherwise, you're good!
Permissions
If you want to use any part of this mod (textures, etc.) please send me a message first, but I'm mostly okay with them used in most mods. If you want to do a translation of my mod, that's fine and you don't need to ask me first.
Big, big thank to anyone who downloads and enjoys the mod! Comment if there's any issues with it, comment if there isn't, and comment if you like cupcakes. :)
