Flying Mine Bots

Little bundles of intelligent C-4 chasing after your enemies.

Requires:

NVSE Version 4.5.7 or later

Description:

Craft your own custom flying robotic mines, deploy them like you would any other mine and they will obediently follow you around. They await a target command given by you with the locator pointer (will beep with a viable target selected), once given a target they will ruthlessly track it down and explode in it's face. You can pre-select a target (anything living) and then deploy your bots, once a target is destroyed any stragglers who were not caught up in the blast will acknowledge and return to your side awaiting the next target. You can talk to your bots and either pick them back up or tell them to come to their senses.

Craftting C-4 requires explosives skill of 50 and after aquiring the C-4 schematics you will need:-

Sensor Module
Abraxo Cleaner
Turpentine
Dynamite X 4

Craftting Flying Mine Bots requires explosives skill of 50 and after aquiring the Bot schematics you will need:-

C-4 Plastic Explosive
Scrap Metal
Sensor Module
Scrap Electronics

Warning:

Remember if you have a group of them following you around. You are surrounding yourself in a cloud of C-4 explosives, keep that in mind.

Location:

The locator pointer and schematics for constructing  the bots can be found in the Abandoned Shack at Novac, not far from Helios One........Maybe Elijah was experimenting with them? You will need to pick up the pointer for the controlling bot quest to start. Since C-4 supplies might be limited there is also a recipe for C-4 you can find in the Wardens office of the NCR Prison.

Issues:

The bots can become confused sometimes and may not follow you like they should, they can also on occassions get close to the target but not detonate, either way tagerting the offending bot will cause it to detonate. They are not persistent so may become lost on game reloading or anything that forces them to unload. They are custom created creatures and custom skeletons can be tricky to refine, they may sometimes have issues with stairs etc. The damage dealt out by the bots is not automatically linked to the player and as such I have had to run a script to assign this to the player, at this stage the player will aquire XP for kills and Karma but the script which does this still needs adding to in order to fully attribute everything to the player.

Updates:

V1.1 Better method for blaming the player implemented, Mine Bots get a Light Foot perk added.

Any improvements / bugs in the scripts, Improve their skeletons if required.
I will come back to the scripts from time to time in an effort to make the damage / blame fully attributed to the player.
