## Version 2.5

## Description

Betsy is a companion who sadly got the cuts from the final game. This mod restores the non-combat companion brahmin. As Betsy doesn't get involved in any fighting and due to her very high carry capacity, she is most useful to players who like to pick up everything they find in the wastes. Additionally, Betsy comes with her own unique companion perk and (fully voiced) quest.

This release is based on the New Vegas Uncut mod by MoBurma, first released in 2012. I've spend quite some time with bugfixing and applying my own tweaks to it.

Betsy can be found in her pen outside Freeside's North gate.

Thanks for reading, thanks for playing and thanks for your (hopefully) coming feedback.

## What is different from the original release?

  • Betsy doesn't look like a half-rotten brahmin corpse anymore (I've used my Brahmin Variant Redux mod as a base for her).
  • Various text / dialogue changes and additions.
  • Betsy won't keep returning to her home waypoint if the player enters any interior location.
  • If the player enters any interior, Betsy will wait and follow again after the player steps outside.
  • Betsy can be correctly dismissed via the companion terminals (might conflict with other companion mods, though).
  • If dismissed, Betsy won't block the player from entering any of the DLC locations anymore.
  • Betsy can be equipped with a lamp that generates light in the night (a Caravan Lantern can be bought at certain vendors).
  • As of version 2.1, Betsy can be equipped with a radio and turned into a walking Radio New Vegas broadcaster.
  • You can sell Betsy if you think she is annoying.
  • Added voices to all the new NPCs!
  • A few other tiny changes here and there...

## Recommended mods

If you like this mod, you should also check out my other release "Brahmin Variant Redux" (adds more brahmin variation to the game). Using "Freeside Open" and "Outside Bets" is highly recommended as well. Oh, "Uncut Wasteland" is pretty awesome too.

## Changelog

04.07.2016:
Honestly, This update is kinda old by now. I tried to collect as many issues as possible before uploading a new patch, but more (fixable) issues didn't appeared, so here it is now, nearly one year later. Finally.
- Fixed typos and stuff. Thanks to Revolvist for pointing them out.
- Probably fixed the not appearing lamp and radio items in Freeside.

20.08.2015:
- Fixed the two formid's that accidentally were identical to the ones in Honest Hearts and Old World Blues.

30.06.2015:
- Fixed: A few more typos (Where the hell is this stuff hiding all the time?!).
- Added: A new optional No-Dialog-Tags version, compatible with my No-Dialog-Tags mod for the main game + DLCs.
- Cleanup: Removed caravan Lantern and Radio from vendor boxes. Items are now added via script to remove conflict sources with other mods.
- Cleanup: Removed a few more unnecessary records from the mod file.

28.06.2015:
- Fixed: A few more typos.
- Fixed: Missing *.lip file.
- Removed: lexx_brahmin-betsyFSOpatch.esp
- Added: A new fail-safe mechanic that will move Tom Dooley to his starting position depending on the player using Freeside Open (and mods that do the same as FSO) or not. This fail-safe will run ONCE when the player enters Freeside. This helps to prevent Tom Dooley from "existing" in the wrong cell and therefore making it impossible to reach him. In theory this *should* work with a game that is already running. So if you are currently missing Tom Dooley, then this *should* get him back.

20.06.2015:
- Fixed: A few typos.
- Fixed: Killing any of the quest relevant characters results in "Quest Failed" appearing twice.
- Added: Betsy can be equipped with a radio. She will then broadcast Radio New Vegas into the world. (Maybe you get one at Mick & Ralph's?)

12.06.2015:
- First Release.
