About this mod

Removes the constant use of 'sir' from the dialogue of the Sink Central Intelligence Unit.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Nearly every line of dialogue from the Sink Central Intelligence Unit refers to the Courier as 'sir'.

If the Courier is female, this is pretty incongrous at best. You can talk to the CIU, and it says its programmers (for some reason) force it to only use 'sir'. But intentional joke or not, the constant misgendering can be incredibly frustrating.

This is a small edit to the CIU's dialogue. Every use of 'sir' has been either deleted or replaced with a short burst of white noise.

Without help from a voice actor able to imitate the CIU's voice (or even re-voice it entirely), I can't edit the audio files to say 'madam' instead of 'sir'. But if people want it, I can make a version in which the audio is entirely blanked out, and the text uses 'madam'.

A warning: I haven't had a chance to test this in-game. I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't work! I would still very much appreciate someone actually testing it.

Requirements:
  • Old World Blues
  • Either ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!, FOMM, or the Nexus Mod Manager to make sure the audio files replace the default ones

Potential conflicts?
Conflicts should be minimal. The esp file only alters a handful of dialogue topics, so unless a mod alters dialogue of the CIU (possibly some CIU bugfix mods may do this?), there will be no problems.

The mod is packaged as a FOMOD-ready archive, so the metadata should be directly available if you import it into FOMM. If you do not use FOMM or NMM, just unpack the archive into your data folder.
