About this mod

An old-western inspired ENB, with strong emphasis on all the lens artifacts and image corruption that is caracteristic of old movies and sepia photography.
<br />Faux-cinema tint style, using color correction and palette rather than straight tinting to achieve a more cohesive and consistent look in all environments.

INTRODUCTION

*********

Western ENB started as a request from someone, they wanted a more borwn, dusty, old-looking, vintage, old picture like ENB. Something along those lines, but retaining some of the things that made Nevada ENB special, like the AO, DoF and bloom.
So I started to mess around with the stuffs.
What came out is this. A very stylized ENB that is in no way realistic. But that somehow feels right when playing NV with.

I do not recommend it on F3 however. It just looks odd.

So what makes this ENB special?

The lens flare and lens dirt, with the tint and the palette. That's what makes it different. The settings are nothing too far fetched, I  tried to not overdo the bloom (too much). You'll notice some crazy lens flares at night for example.

There is a one quick way to go about this ENB, if you hate the lens dirt and purple tinting on edges and the piss filter, disable lens dirt.

INSTALLATION

Download the ENB binaries from the site: http://enbdev.com/download_mod_falloutnv.htm
At the time of writing this, the latest version is 0.263
Any version higher than that will work too.

Extract the files you get from the enb site to your fnv directory and then extract the ones from Western ENB and OVERWRITE when asked. Always do.

Configure the enblocale to fit your machine's specs.

If you're using the 4gb extender you have to place the d3d9.dll and other .dll files on the exes folder (very important or ENB won't work)

Open the game launcher and set water displacement to OFF, anisotropic filtering to OFF and antialiasing to OFF.

Launch the game, if everything is right, the top right corner of the screen will have the ENB text indicating that the enb launched correctly, as well as what GPU it's using.

Suggestions

Try out the secondary shaders for DoF if you don't like the default one.
Disable enblens if it bothers you with the tint
Disable DoF and AO to get better performance

By the time this is uploaded the ENB has been DISCONTINUED
That means there will be no more updates, no more files and no more uploads.
This is the first and FINAL release of Western ENB.

That also means you are free to do whatever you want with it, edit, change and reupload as much as you like (but do mention me in the credits as the original author if you may).

Feel free to upload screenshots to the screenshot section of the mod page.

Any questions unanswered or requests send me a PM on the nexus.
Follow me on Flickr for more ENBs and other shader suites https://www.flickr.com/photos/96509049@N06/ and possibly updates on the ENB if I ever do them.
