About this mod

This is a port of some Oblivion textures for the Ghost armor, along with a guide on how to apply them.

Permissions and credits
Greeting, people of the Nexus!

First, a word in red.
This is a port. The textures where not made by me and as such, I cannot make your requests. If you want something specific, I'm not the one to contact.
This said, I fully believe that I will receive requests. On to the mod.

Description
This mod is a texture pack for the popular Ghost Armor and Ghost Variant here on the nexus. The textures themselves were made for Oblivion, but I assure you that they work perfectly in New Vegas (Yes, I was surprised too at first!).

This pack provides two textures to the original mods. The textures are closer in look to the Ghost Variant, but they apply better to the Ghost Armor (Although both works fine). The two colors provided are  Black with Orange Lights and Black with Blue Lights. The pictures will only show the Black And Blue version as it's from my game, but I provided the pictures from the original mod to show the other color.

Requirements
You need one of these mods
- Ghost Variant by brokencrash (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41657/?)
- Ghost Armor NV port by rikai (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34892/?)
- The revamp mod for the above mod
Basically, you need one of the Ghost armor.

Installation
Here is the tricky part as the installation is different depending on the mod you have. No NMM install.
For the Ghost Armor version:
1. Go to the Data/Texture/armor/ghost folder in your New Vegas file.
2. Copy the downloaded textures (The textures, not the folders) into the ghost folder and accept when prompted to replace.
3. Start the game and enjoy your new look.

For the Ghost Variant, it's trickier and a little buggy:
1. Go to the Data/Texture/armor/Ghost Variants folder in your New Vegas file.
2. You will notice there are many files in there. The best for the port is to use the Specter Clean, as the Kerrigan version has a different texture that is not fully replaced and I have not figured out how to change it. That said, there is an extra step where you'll use the Kerrigan armor.
3. Now, copy the new texture into the xutaoghost folder in the Specter folder. Note that some of the files from the download are simply added, not replacing. Those files can be removed. Those are the bishou and fxhexparticle files. It's best to simply not copy them in the first place.
4. Now, in the xutaghost folder, note all the files with a _g. Select all the files with the same name but lacking the _g and copy them to an external folder. These files should be the ones from the new texture pack.
5. In that folder, change the name of these files to add the _g to them, then copy them back in the xutaoghost folder and accept the replacement prompt.
6. We now move to another folder. In the Ghost Variants folder, open the Shields folder.
7. Remember those silly fxhexparticle files? Copy them here and accept the prompt.
8. Now, in game, the armor should have the new textures, with one exception. The Specter shoulders are not black.
9. Exit the game and return to the Ghost Variants folder, this time going to the Kerrigan Clean folder.
10. Here, replace only the shoulder textures as done above.
11. In game, you can now use the Kerrigan shoulders instead of Specter and they'll have the right color.

Yes, the Ghost Variant armor is tricky, I know. It took me a bit to figure it out, but it works and look good, except for one thing, described further.

Bug
While using the Ghost Armor, it should be pretty clean.

However, there is something that's not working right with the Ghost Variant. The "backpack" with not be properly textured. The pack is black and looks alright as is, but the number on the back is blurry and the circle is not glowing, instead being gray or black. This is due to the packs not being the same on each armors and the texture cannot be properly applied on the Ghost Variant. As I cannot do texturing work or mess with the meshes (say that one fast, it's weird), I cannot fix this.

Notes
First, sorry for not providing the Black And Orange version in the pictures.
Second, in the original author's pictures, the character is an elf. There IS a mod for elves in New Vegas, but it's not required.
Finally, in my own pictures, you actually see both armors. My character is wearing the Ghost armor's armor, but the Variant's goggles and gloves. Also, the gun is from the Ghost Armor mod.
Finally Finally, I suggest you use the Ghost Armor Convertion FNV Revamp mod or something similar as the original one has some issues with the gun and quest.
