Castaway's Isle is an idea I had while I was exploring the Colorado River's side opposite the Mojave Desert, I have created two very different versions of this mod, one is a very lavish, high tech research camp and the other is a wasteland shanty town but they are just as lavish as each other in different ways. Both versions are in the same spot so you can only use one, but each will suit your needs depending on your, taste. I discovered the cove my mod is based in by randomly exploring so I decided to keep the surprise factor by disabling the map marker, this means you must swim the Colorado River until you find it or just swim across the Colorado from Cottonwood cove, once you discover Castaway's Isle the map marker will activate. Both version contain different version of my own custom beds, shelves, and structures to uphold uniqueness .
The objects contained in Castaway's Isle are completely different depending on which version you have.
The High-Tech version contains:
- 4 bedrooms including a player room, A Storage room, An Infirmary, A Research/Computer room, 1 hot plate for cooking, 1 jukebox, and plenty of idle markers for you companions..
The Wasteland edition contains:
- 4 Bedrooms AND a Player Room, A Storage Room, And Infirmary, 1 Workbench, A Campfire, 1 Outhouse, and a 2nd story Relaxation floor and plenty of idle markers for your companions.
Concerning Bugs:
I personally test every mod I put out so I almost always catch all the bugs and fix them, however on the off chance you do find one, message me or comment it and I will do my best to fix it.
Concerning Updates:
I may or may not develop updates for both version but I will continuously check the comments section and my nexus account so if you have one and you believe you have a possible update idea the would be acceptable for everyone to enjoy, you may message me about it and we can discuss it.
Requirements: Old World Blues and Honest Hearts
INSTALL PROCESS: I have put both versions in one package so when you download the file you must pick which version you want, unpack the file, and drag and drop which version you want into your Fallout New Vegas data folder.
Notes:
- Do not activate both at the same time, they are incompatible together.
- The containers are safe to use but if you uncheck the file in your mod manager without taking your things out of them first you will lose your things, I personally found this out the hard way. :(
