I HOPE THIS RATHER SIMPLE MOD WORKS FOR YOU ALL
AND I WISH YOU ALL GOOD FUN. :3

Classic Level Up Sounds

So, it will be four years since New Vegas release and nobody bothered to make this awfully simple mod? I would think that something like that, something so basic yet quite needed would get made in all this time. At least somebody did made a mod like that for Fallout 3! But no such thing here, oh well. But I did it now so here it is AND with a bonus! If you want you can use the loud honk noise for a level up prompt instead of the classic one. If you want... You can get a heart attack if you forget you have installed this, so don't complain and haunt me afterwards, ok?

Instructions

This is just basic sound replacer. There a two sound files, one wav, the other ogg. You download either main mod or the HONK version, you extract it somewhere and then you move the "sound" folder to the "Data" folder in your New Vegas game folder. If it ask to overwrite folders, agree. If it asks to overwrite files, then agree if you know what you're doing. Ideally, you should just download this with Nexus Mod Manager and activate the mod trough it. It'll make everything very easy. Or you can be a special snowflake like me and download manually, put the mod inside the Nexus Mod Manager's mod folder and then activate it.

Credits
Big thanks to Bethesda for making sci-fi version of their sweet sandbox rpg's. Also nice that they used Fallout for that.
No thanks to Obsidian for redesigning sound system in New Vegas instead of fixing the bugs of the original. It was so nice and easy to get whatever music you wanted in Fallout 3 and they had to ruin it. *sigh*
This shitty little mod would not be possible without the Audacity so thanks for that.
Also, thanks for Fallout Mod Manager or FOMM as this thing has the only bsa extracting utility that works for me.
Thanks to AlChestBreach for shining light in darkness in all of our lives.
