A player home mod which also includes a retex of the Merc. Troublemaker armor, a variant of my C-51s Razorback Armor, 2 helmet variants, and 4 weapons with mods. All weapon mods, weapons, and armor is craftable. REQUIRES NEW VEGAS SCRIPT EXTENDER (NVSE)

WHO THE HELL IS RICKARD?/BACKSTORY:

Rickard is a product of my imagination. In the description of my C-51a Razorback Armor mod there's a journal entry that reads;

from the journal of John 'Opportunity' Knox, Regulators (retired), on the D.C. Rangers;

".................Wrathful Avengers, Righteous Vigilantes, Merciless Protectors.

Those who have had the opportunity (or misfortune as the case may be), to have seen a Ranger pass sentence, and execute punishment, know that these labels may come the closest to describing the paradox of the D.C. Rangers as any other. These are NOT the paperdoll N.C.R. Rangers of the Mojave, despite the roots these 'Indpendent Rangers' have within that organization, these men are the sweeping long arm of the law, truly.

I have had opportunity, on several occasions, to travel with these people. Different ranger every time. However, each one, if it were possible, was harder and more brutal than the last. I still wake up in almost a blind panic whenever I dream about Rickard dismembering that rapist, smiling that sick, satisfied grin of his as his combat knife inched it's way up each finger and toe, knuckle by knuckle. When he ran out of fingers and toes it was on to ankles, knees, wrists, elbows all in turn. Soon enough the knife didn't do the job anymore. Rickard just tightened the tourniquet a little more, tossed the dull blade aside and reached for his hatchet. It's freshly honed edge eager to bite into flesh and bone. By the end of it I swear I was standing in 3 inch puddles of blood.

Now I aint some weak kneed girl. I was a Regulator for a good 15 years, which is about 8 years more than the good ones last. I took my share of fingers, and saw things that would turn most white as a Tenpenny bed sheet. You learn to look with hard eyes, steel yourself, but I'll be damned if I didn't squirm as I watched Rickard go on with his grisly work."

Rickard is a retired DC Ranger who came to the Mojave for some quiet. He came to enjoy his time at the Thorn so much he set up a place close by. Over the years the little place became his main dwelling. Many of the Mojave's sickest individuals found their end in Rickard's basement despite Rickard claiming to have retired. Rickard tried to pass the time working on various inventions and working to improve on existing technologies but over time was drawn into the Mojave politics and helped to start the Westside Militia. Now instead of spending his nights in his old roadhouse he generally sleeps in his office in the Militia Headquarters building.

THE MEAT 'N' POTATOES:

This mod adds a secure player house to the Westside area, in the abandoned liquor store building beside the Thorn. The player house has the Sort-O-Matic system for those who like that sort of thing. Look for the switch (which reveals the controller system) on the wall opposite the front door for the master controller for this system. All Sort-O-Matic storage containers can be found in the storage room directly to the left of the main Sort-O-Matic system controls. I've also placed non-sortomatic system containers throughout the player house for those who don't like automation. The Sort-O-Matic esm IS required however (and included int he 7z file) I've made it possible to completely bypass that system if so desired. Also worth noting is that since the home requires the sortmatic.esm file, this mod WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT New Vegas Script Extender!!!

The interior features working lights, and the house itself comes with a "lockdown" mode toggled by a switch found on the roof.

In order to get inside the Safehouse you'll have to find the back door which is located somewhere in the heart of Westside. The door needs a key and can not be picked. Fortunatley there's a rock right there that looks like a great place to hide a spare....... If you are having a hard time here's a tip. Enter Westside where Miguel's Pawn Shop is and have a look in the alleys.

Included with the Safehouse are recipes for 2 new ammo types (craftable at reloading benches) which is used with 4 new energy weapon firearms. Also included is a recipe for Rickard's favorite hatchet. All weapons have mods which can also be crafted. All weapons will work with their respective perks (ie: Shotgun Surgeon, And Stay Back, Laser Commander, Cowboy etc.)

There is also a variant of my Razorback armor from my C-51s Razorback Armor mod colored to the hues of the Mojave, and 2 helmet variants which are 100% Project Nevada compliant. The armor itself has an eybot sensor system similar to ED-E's installed which duplicates ED-E's companion perk and the head wear has an integrated dumb targeting system which highlights enemies when you are zoomed in on them just like Boone's companion perk. The armor and both helmet variants are craftable at the workbench. Sorry ladies ..... this one's only for the gents. There's too many "female only" armors on here anyway ;)

INSTALLATION:

1> Copy the contents of the folder to your DATA folder. This mod should not overwrite anything, unless of course you have an earlier version installed. Otherwise merge all appropriate folders when prompted.

NOTE: If you do NOT use Project Nevada then you do NOT need to copy over the Project Nevada patch included with Rickard's Roadhouse. However if you want to be able to use Project Nevada's features with the armor included with this mod then make sure to copy both esp files to your DATA folder.

2> Activate all esp and esm files and start game (This mod requires sortomatic.esm whichis included and the sortomatic.esm requires New Vegas Script Extender N.V.S.E PLEASE ENSURE THESE STEPS ARE DONE!)

UNINSTALLATION:

1> Delete the esp files from your DATA folder the delete the folders Safehouse, and hideouscircus from your meshes and textures folders.

Also bear in mind that this is a large house mod with lots of clutter around (which is all STATIC as i hate messing up my place cause I bump a shelf) so it has the potential to be quite hard on older machines. I run a quad core so I haven't had to opportunity to test this mod out on any other machines.
