About this mod
Makes the Mojave more apocalyptic by overhauling settlement detail, increasing enemy spawns, and adding dozens of ruined survivor camps to the wasteland.

While playing New Vegas, I was always disappointed by how tame it seemed. Vanilla New Vegas is all about "rebuilding" and the conflicts that accompany that. This mod attempts to bring the "apocalyptic" feeling of Fallout 3 to New Vegas.
As of Version 1.5, this mod focuses on settlements.
Settlements that I believed to be lacking in defense have been fortified. This can range from barbed wire and a few stakes in the ground to full walls and barricades. Additionally, settlements have been given a higher level of detail that adds to that "apocalyptic" feeling. This can range from just a few extra rubble piles here and there to full overhauls of the settlement.
Gameplay wise, this mod slightly increases difficulty. New spawns have been added outside of every affected settlement. No longer can you simply waltz on into a town when you're injured or running low on supplies. Raiders and thieves lie in wait along the roadside, waiting for unsuspecting travelers.

What's to come?
Version 2- The apocalypse will come to the wasteland. Survivor, raider, and ruined camps will be added by the dozen, along with cryptic notes and stories (Version 1.5 already contains a couple of these- if you can find them).
DLC addons- camps of NPCs from the DLCs, existing camps will be improved with DLC static objects.
New Vegas itself will not be touched by this mod, as another mod (see below) already does this excellently.
