About this mod

A tiny patch, uploaded by request of 3AMt. Fixes missing NPC's and Quest givers when using BtB.

Permissions and credits
A tiny patch, uploaded by request of 3AMt.

Beyond the borders has a bug that makes certain NPCs (Hildern, Mj. Knight, Col. Hsu, CookCook, to name a few) travel to a fixed point in BTB's new lands, where they usually end up dead (usually because CookCook kills them).

This strange and sometimes game breaking behaviour was down to several edited sandbox packages, I have changed them back to vanilla (for the most part). This stops the affected NPCs from wandering off the map and being incinerated, and leaves them sandboxing in their default locations like the good lord intended.

NOTE; If you have a save where said NPCs have already gone missing this patch WILL NOT return them to their original location, it just stops them leaving in the first place. Sorry, in that case a new game or a save before BtB was active is required.

Word to the wise:

This patch affects four vanilla script packages, which originally told affected NPCs to sandbox in their current location. BtB's changes instead told affected NPCs to sneak to a predetermined location on the map, a hilltop ranger base. That makes me think that maybe there is a quest in BtB that involves an NPC doing just that, which would be great if it wasn't a common script used by many NPCs. Anyway, the point is that with this patch that wont happen, the NPC in question will just sandbox at their current location. I don't know for certain how this will effect BtB, it might not cause any trouble at all, or it may make one (or many) of BtB's quests uncompletable. I haven't got round to testing this fully yet, and seeing as the mod author is MIA/no longer on the nexus, I cant ask him what the changes he made were for. all I know is that it stops all the vanilla NPCs from disappearing off to the other side of the map. Just sayin ;)

Load Order:
anywhere below "BTB - Beyond the Borders.esp" should be peachy.

Conflicts:
Any mod that edits these script packages. In that event just put said mods below this patch in your load order and that should work fine.

Permissions:
This requires none, it contains no original material it just reverts the packages back to vanilla for those who don't want to go mucking around in FNVedit. Credit and distribute as you please.

Credit:
thelonewarrior - for making Beyond the Borders, hopefully you shall return and make my patch obsolete.
