About this mod

Adds new decals and spray effect for cloth materials. When you shoot or strike a bed, you will now see a "bullet hole" and dust shoot up.

Cloth Impacts - Decal and Effects

Version 2 is out! Adds unique decals with different textures for guns, blades, and blunt weapons! Decals are now smaller and more realistic and vary in size depending on the type of weapon that caused the damage.

Description

Ever get tired of those smug, invulnerable teddy bears laughing at your inability to shoot them? Enraged over the fact that the only you can take down a deathclaw but can't poke a few holes in a couch? Well then this mod is for you!

Detail

In the vanilla game, when you shoot a bed or a couch, nothing happened. It always felt as if your bullet was absorbed by the object. This mod aims to fix that. Now when you shoot an object made from cloth, you will have visual feedback. Shooting a mattress with a sub-machine gun will now leave it riddled with holes. The decal textures include normal maps and parallax maps so they will look three-dimensional like the other "bullet holes" included in the game.

Installation

 • Using the Nexus Mod Manager is recommended.
 • There are 4 downloads, only use one!.
 • If you use FNVEdit you can tweak the "Impact DataSet" values for maximum compatibility. I recommend doing it this way instead of relying on the compatibility patches.
 • Download with NMM and activate the file and the .esp plugin. Keep the esp late in the load order so it does not get overridden by another mod.
 • If you feel like the impact decals are too large, there is an optional file that has smaller holes.
 • If you have any trouble write a comment and I will help to the best of my ability.

Incompatibilities

Should be compatible with anything that does not edit the impact decals in the geck. I have provided compatibility patches for those that use "EVE - Essential Visual Enhancements" and "Enhanced Blood Textures".

Requirements

Archive invalidation is required for this mod to work.
