Notice:
For the first time in almost a year, I checked back up on this mod, and saw that people were still playing it and following it. I thought that everyone should know that "The Lost City" mod has been cancelled. However, our group has been working on a mod following the same genre for almost a year now. Though it will carry the same name,(Decaying Reality) it will not be related to the lost city in any way. We're starting fresh. This new mod we're making offers a completely new world space with complete landscape rather than just a city. Hours of quest(that actually work this time), and fully voiced characters. This mod is turning out much better mainly because we're now a more experienced team of developers. Regardless, we thank you for your feedback and support while we struggled through "The Lost City", and hope to see you offering support for our next project. We will probably be making a discussion page for the new mod(yes, it will have pictures) within the next week or so.

Description:

The esoteric city, lost to time for the past 200 years, has reappeared, and fallen under siege by a mysterious outbreak of freakish, unnatural mockeries of life. The few who still cling to their humanity have none left, surviving by becoming frenzied killers, or seeking to see all remnants of the town neutralized to hide what has happened there. Though the city has rewards beyond imagining for the taking, it is liken to the nine circles of hell. Can you survive through the realm of “The Lost City”?

Location:

You can get to The Lost City by going through a sewer gate behind Doc Mitchell's House in Goodsprings. There's even a map marker.

Features:

New Location: A high-detail, hand navmeshed, and extremely large city for players to explore, and fight their way through.

New Foes: Several new enemies have been added. Your main threat are the Zombies who wander the streets of the city. However, beware of the crazed survivors that have lost it, shooting at anything that moves. You must also beware of the city’s Ex-Militia, who are armed with military grade weapons, and armor.

New weapons: 8 new guns, and several melee weapons of various types. See if you can find them all.

Climate: A dynamic, new and eerie climate setting, allowing the the climate to randomly fade to almost pitch black. My advice, use your pip-boy light.

Installation:

Install like any other mod. However, if you’re a Newbie to modding, I’ll introduce you to the simple process.

I always recommend using FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager). Not only does this ensure you install the mod properly, it is the best way to ensure Archive Invalidation is fixed.
However, if you wish to install the mod manually, follow these steps.

Steam Version:
Step 1. After the file is downloaded, open the archive, and copy all the files to your clipboard. Open your Steam Library, right click on Fallout: New Vegas, and hit properties.

Step 2. Hit the Local Files tab, and hit “Browse Local Files”, then open the folder titled “data”. Paste the files into the folder, and merge folders if it ask.

Step 3. Launch New Vegas, but when you get to the Launcher screen,(The little menu before the game launches) hit Data Files. Check “The Lost City.esp”

Step 4. Done! Enjoy the mod.

Known Bugs/Issues

#1 Sometimes the Zombie AI will stop working, and they'll just stand in one place. The only way to get the AI working again is to restart your game.

#2 Some places have clunky Navmesh.

#3 In Various areas, there are minor clipping issues. None of which are even noticeable with an attentive eye.

#4 A lot of guns don't have working iron sites, or pipboy icons.

Emotional Crap:

We here at Suit and Tie Gaming thank you so much for your patronage. We have worked so hard on this mod, both ShadowfireReality, our PR specialist and pre-reader, and The 50 Cal Pal, our main level designer and scripting genius(we use this term (very) loosely). Eight months after its original conception, “The Lost City” was born. This mod is one of the best journeys we have ever undertaken, and it is nowhere near finished. With the final stages of the mod falling into place we are looking to the future, and we feel the insatiable need to put on shades. If you would like to help fuel the flames of our progress, please endorse this mod and share it to your friends that play the game, and on forums you frequent.

Thank you for playing,

-Suit and Tie Gaming
