The game is saved automatically over time and at key events. An attempt to open the console will lead to the elimination of the game. Mode hardcore automatically turns on and off impossible. The complexity of the game now is impossible to change and it always is at a normal level. Dead once your character is moved to the closed location, without the capacity to escape from there and can only begin a new game.
