Old World Blues
New Vegas Script Extender - This mod heavily relies on scripting using NVSE functions - it WILL NOT WORK properly without it!

WARNING: If you use the soda machines in the Sink as storage containers, remove all items from them before loading this mod. The soda machines are removed from game and replaced with new objects, so anything in those machines will be lost. (If you forget to do so, you can recover your items by disabling the mod and reloading your game. The items are not truly lost as long as you can load a save made before using this mod.)

Description
===========
This mod enlarges the room in The Sink containing the soda machines and elevators, and adds several new machines and gameplay changes. All of the vending machines in this room in the Sink are functional, and are still maintained by the Sink's automated systems. However, as the Sink is virtually unchanged since the War, these machines also still require pre-war coinage. There is a change machine in the room to convert pre-war money to quarters, but Dr. Mobius has stolen the part that actually reads the bills. Interacting with the broken machine starts a fetch quest to return the missing part, but it is in Dr. Mobius's lab so most of OWB will need to be completed in order to be able to access it. Once you retrieve the necessary part, the vending machines will become useful. The change machine's conversion is luck based due to the age and deteriorated quality of the bills the machine is asked to convert; pre-war money stacks are treated as containing up to $25. A higher Luck score will provide an overall better return on bills-to-change exchange, but the amount of quarters returned based on how many dollars the machine can recognize will always vary from stack to stack.

The appropriate amount of pre-war coins (quarters, nickels, and dimes) will be auto-deducted from the player's inventory upon using a vending machine, and any necessary change will be given back. These coins have no weight but also have no barter value, so they are useless for anything but the vending machines.

The pre-war coins are new items, and are textured and sized to appear as their real-life counterparts.

The change machine is infinite and will return quarters for as many stacks of pre-war money are fed into it. If you have completed Dead Money and you're like me, you could have over 18,000 stacks in your possession and nothing really worthwhile to do with them - until now.

Unlike the change machine, the vending machines all have limited stock:

Magazine - This machine contains exactly five random magazines (which can be duplicates). You can choose which magazine to purchase and a notation shows how many of each magazine are still in the machine. On cell reset, even the unpurchased inventory will be replaced so if the machine contains nothing you want give it time and it will restock with another five random magazines.

Nuka-Cola - This machine contains a set number of each type of cola along with a random chance of extras. The stock includes the three NV colas (regular, Quartz, and Victory) and upon buying a regular Nuka-Cola there is a chance of receiving the Ice Cold variety. Quantum is NOT included, as in-story it would make no sense for it to be available.

Sunset Sarsaparilla - This machine is pretty straightforward. It contains sarsaparilla, and nothing else. It stocks 3-6 bottles at a time.

Eat'o'tronic 3000 automat - This machine carries four types of items: snacks, meals, drugs, and tobacco. The machine's selection was chosen deliberately to attempt to adhere to a sense of reality and not to just contain the most useful in-game items. Some of the machine's items are virtually useless (individual cigarettes, milk), whereas others are excellent (caravan lunch, masquerading as "boxed lunch" in the machine menu). Only pre-war drugs are in the machine, and the injectable variety are NOT included (stimpaks and Med-X). All automat stock is set and is not random; the machine will start with the same items and same number of each after every cell reset.

All machines reset their stock values on cell reset.

Two new sound effects have been added - one for using the change machine, and another for inserting coin(s) into the vending machines.

The lighting in the now-extended room works with the two Sink light switches, and the room is navmeshed so Muggy doesn't get confused.
