This is a bleak and contrasty ENB preset; a representation of the ravaged world our Fallout characters inhabit. A world of chaos and suffering, of greed and pettiness, of destruction and of death.

And yet there is beauty to be found in the harsh landscape; Solace, in the most unlikely of places; Hope, when there should be none.

This world is a constant reminder of what was; and yet also one of what can be.

For amidst the ruins and the abandoned wastes, among the abominations and the death; humanity still survives, struggles, and persists.

This is still our world.

In Short; this is the port of Fallout 3's The ENB of the Apocalypse
(Yes I was bored so I wrote lol)

Installation
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • Download these ENB files (0.194 New Vegas).
  • Unzip the downloaded file; it contains 2 folders, Wrapper and Injector; copy the files from the “Wrapper” folder to your Fallout NV folder (Not DATA!)
  • (Note: Some of you may have to use the “Injector” files instead, please read the Injector/Wrapper note below)
  • Download the file uploaded here, unzip it, and copy all the files to your Fallout NV folder (Again NOT DATA!), OVERWRITE when prompted.
  • Open FalloutNVLauncher.exe; set "Antialiasing = OFF", "Screen Effects = HDR" "Anisotropic Filtering = OFF" and "Water Displacement = OFF"
  • Thats it!

Common Issues
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

These are the common problems that may be faced by ENB users:
  • Slightly transparent weapon/objects
  • This is a known side-effect of SSAO in Fallout; the only way to fix it is by disabling SSAO entirely (Might be fixed in newer DLL's)
  • "FalloutNV has stopped responding" message AFTER quitting the game
  • Known harmless issue.
  • Weird Flickering/White Squares on screen:
  • This is because you have not switched Anti-aliasing off in FalloutNVlauncher.
  • A lot of Jaggies:
  • By default SMAA is enabled through SweetFX; if jaggies still persist, it most likely means that SweetFX isnt working. (Hit Scroll-Lock to check)
  • MSI Afterburner OSD/ FRAPS/ Any Overlay:
  • Overlays are not compatible with ENB, they can cause CTDs even before the main menu; FRAPS over-rides SweetFX, so if you have FRAPS on before you start the game, SweetFX wont start and only the ENB will work. In short do not use overlays while starting the game, some like FRAPS can be saftely activated after the game has loaded.[BR]
  • Falloutlauncher Settings:
  • All Antialiasing must be disabled (even graphic card control panel) and HDR must be enabled.
  • You need the latest version of Direct X
  • Make sure that SweetFX is working:
  • There is a big difference between it being ON/OFF, check the screens below. (Fallout 3 Screens; Left=OFF)

The Injector/Wrapper question
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

You always use the wrapper version of ENB unless you have one of the problems below:
  • Huge frame-rate drop, probably means you have a multi-GPU (Intel HD - Dedicated) setup and FalloutNV is using the wrong GPU (Optimus laptops/ATI equivalent, dunno what it’s called)
  • Weird graphical artifacts. Using the Injector may fix it.
  • ENB not working at all. (No text in the top-left corner when Fallout NV starts)
  • Finally if you have decided to use the injector version, remember that it has to be run everytime BEFORE you start the game. (Also anti-viruses may interfere with the injector, watch out for that)

My game looks nothing like your Screenshots!!

The following mods should NOT be active with this ENB (The game won’t go bonkers, it just won’t look the same)
  • Fellout NV
  • CLO Custom Lighting Overlay (Not Tested yet)
  • Any other mod that alters the weather/lighting of Fallout NV
