**This mod is now under the care & maintainence of Zenreich, found here.**

This is now a deprecated version of the mod, designed to work with Tale of Two Wastelands 2.0.

There won't be a vanilla New Vegas conversion of this mod, sorry. I just don't have the time and the finished product would be very different.

If you enjoy the Halfway House, you might like USS Hoodwink, a submarine the player can live and travel in (shameless self-promotion over.)

This is a player safehouse in the form of a bunker somewhere between DC and New Vegas (up to your imagination). It's based around a hangar room which serves as bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, workshop, storage, office and everything else, generously decorated with souvenirs put there by the last inhabitants. Attached are two short arms of hall and tunnel which connect the bunker to the Capital Wasteland and Mojave Wasteland, complete with cave-ins and a water purifying room. The style is industrial, decorated domestically and with some makeshift use of materials as furniture. The bunker was originally built as a Chinese safehouse before the Great War.

FEATURES:
- An auto-doc which can heal, remove radiation and addictions (including ultra-jet) as well as performing cosmetic surgery and giving a haircut.
- A workbench, reloading bench and oven which can be used like a campfire.
- Sinks and a valve which produce clean water.
- A Sierra Madre vending machine.
- Two player-owned beds which will give well-rested bonuses.
- A barred-off "safe room".
- A toilet which can be sat on (but not used!)
- Lots of different storage containers (ALL SAFE) and areas for displaying items.
- The walls are covered in posters, signs and other artwork, perfect for collectors!
- The tunnels to New Vegas can only be unlocked from the New Vegas side to keep the bunker from being used to avoid your first proper journey to the Mojave. THE KEY IS IN A VENT NEXT TO THE DOOR!
- CONTAINS 2 MODDED MESHES WHICH MUST BE INCLUDED, the toilet (which can be sat on) and a curtain which I removed collision data from to make the bedroom easier to access. These should be put in "\Data\Meshes\".

ENTRANCES:
- The DC entrance is south of Jury Street Metro, it has its own map marker which should show up as an unvisited location.
- The New Vegas entrance is in The Devil's Gullet, a vanilla New Vegas location near the Yangtze memorial. The key to unlock the door to the hangar is in a vent by the locked door.

I've put a lot of time into the mod but it's also my first, I can't guarantee there are no bugs but I'd be surprised if there's anything seriously wrong with it. I've used room markers in an attempt to cut down stress on slower machines and I've tested it repeatedly as I've put it together. Thanks to ChuckSteel for showing me the ropes when I was getting frustrated with the GECK.

To download Tale of Two Wastelands (an incredible mod which combines Fallout 3 and New Vegas into one game) head to the TTW site, sadly I can't give you the address so you'll have to Google it.

The zip file should be unzipped to your New Vegas directory, files should automatically find the right folders for themselves.

HalfwayHouse.esp should be after Taleoftwowastelands.esm in your load order and after any optional TTW .esps you use.

You're welcome to change my mod and use any parts you wish, just please give me credit and ask for permission before uploading this to anywhere other than the New Vegas Nexus or TTW site. Any components I've added start with "MODHalfway" so they're easy to find.

I hope you enjoy it!

Latest version:
- Courier's Stash packs removed from masters.
- Now fully nav-meshed, should be companion friendly.
- Moved NV entrance to the other side of Devil's Gullet to avoid conflicts
with A World of Pain (AWOP) mod.
- Blue pipe maze made easier to navigate.
- Added North marker so the cell aligns the way I intended.
- Added jukebox which will play GNR once the quest for Three-Dog is
completed (not tested.)
- Curtains lining bedroom walls should now show up properly.
