Basically i got bored with the dull tiny moon just hovering in the sky doing nothing to improve the overall feel of destruction in the game. Especially since New Vegas at most times just doesn't feel very post apocalyptic, not that i am complaining. So i worked on this mod for my own use.

I got the idea from looking at previous mods based on the moon and also the movie the time machine, where the future people built colonies on the moon and then caused it to crack

If you want a valid reason why the moon in fallout could have been broken, it could have been a few nukes that might have hit the moon, or it might have been that in the next hundred years or so something smashed into the moon. or it could have been like it is in the time machine that there was some kind of bases on the moon, lol or you could blame the aliens. Pick your choice, either way it i feel that it ads that little extra.

After looking at previous mods and after a few attempts i decided on using a 3d model to get the lighting of the phases just right and then after that render it out and use photoshop to clean up and add some detail, so i feel that in the final one the lighting and shadows is at its most realistic. I did add a bit of a glow around the "fullmoon" phase but if anyone feels its too bright and wants me to post one without the glow feel free to ask me and i would upload it,

I am open to any other constructive advice.

This should be compatible with all mods except for those that replaces the moons texture
to install just put the texture folder in the download in the data folder of new vegas. i am also pretty sure this mod is compatible with fo3 too but haven't tested it there.

Any one have permission to use and edit my files as long as you give some form of credit for my work.
