Description

This very small, very simple mod replaces 3 sound files one hears during VATS combat. They are loud (painful) beeps that play when doing things like switching between and selecting parts during VATS. I could not find a sound replacer that changed these already, so I decided to throw one together. All this does is replace 3 sounds with silence. Nice, soothing silence. Your ears will thank you.

There is no video for this. This is something I threw together very quickly, and I am honestly not sure I could run FO:NV and Fraps at the same time. If there are enough requests, I suppose I could try. Since this is only 3 tiny files, though, it really is easy to just install and test for yourself! :)

Install
=======
It is highly recommended to install this using some sort of mod manager so that you can easily uninstall it and have the original sound files put back. Otherwise, you might want to back up these files before installing:

Data\Sound\fx\ui\vats\ui_vats_move.wav
Data\Sound\fx\ui\vats\ui_vats_ready.wav
Data\Sound\fx\ui\vats\ui_vats_selecttargetpart.wav

Then just install this mod with either your mod manager or by extracting the contents of the archive, merging it with your Data folder, making sure it maintains the proper file structure as noted above, and confirming to overwrite if prompted.

Uninstall
=========
To uninstall manually, just remove the 3 files noted above and replace with your backups! Or use a mod manager for much easier uninstalling.

Recommended Mod(s)
===============
For other VATS/UI sounds, I recommend Home Brewed Sound Pack and Sal's UI Sounds. I have not played extensively with them yet, but I do like what I've heard so far, and Home Brewed changes the also-painful VATS zoom-in/out sounds to be a bit less harsh on the ears as well. Goes great with my silent files! :D

Known Issues or Bugs

None! This does not make any changes to your game and should not conflict with anything as long as it does not change these 3 files.
