Description

This plugin adds a piece of armor that, when equipped, offers you the opportunity to manually set your reputation with the game's thirteen factions to any state (e.g. "Idolized"). The armor weighs nothing, does not replace any of your current equipment, and has been flagged as a quest item so that it cannot be inadvertedly removed from your inventory. I've added some images that show the process from equipping the armor to becoming Accepted with the Brotherhood of Steel.

Purpose

The game's disguise functionality, while useful, suffers from a number of bugs that may strike at any moment and ruin your standing with the game's various factions. This plugin offers a way to restore your reputation to what it used to - or should - be. It also allows you to cheat, if you feel so inclined, although that was not my motivation for creating this plugin.

Requirements

  • Fallout: New Vegas

Installation

Unpack the archive into the game's data directory, and use your plugin manager of choice to include ReputationFixer.esp in your load list. To deinstall, remove the plugin from the load list and delete ReputationFixer.esp from the game's data folder.

I've also provided the script used by Reputation Fixer, in .txt format, as a seperate download. Although also accessible through GECK, I figured I might as well save those people who wish to poke around in it the trouble. Note that this file is not required for Reputation Fixer to function as intended.

Compatibility Issues

There should be none; feel free to let me know if there are.
