Hotfix 1 (30 June 2012)
1. Decreased caps on Randolph the bullion buyer at 188 Trading Post from 50K to 32K to address a glitch.
Version .65 A/B (13 May 2012)
1. Vendors/Bullion and Treasure buyers - Fixed buggy dialog on the 188 Trading Post Bullion buyer (A.K.A Randolph). I added an NCR Bullion buyer at the NCR Embassy (Mr.Guldenphinger), who only buys in NCR money. I added a Legion Bullion buyer at Cottonwood Cove (Latro Fortuna), who only buys in Legion coins. They are all voice with a few lines of dialog.
2. I redid the coin mesh so that it looks closer to a coin.
3. I added Diamonds per user request. They are very rare.
4. I added Weathered NCR Gold and Silver coins. They are 2/3 the value of the Old US Coins. I added Gold and Silver Dipped Caps to take the place of coins in the crafting recipes. They are worth more than normal caps. I added unmarked, rough 1Kg Gold and Silver Bars to be used as part of the recipe process. You can melt down 11Kg bars into them, then melt them to dipped caps. You can also melt down Old US 1Kg bars into slightly more caps.
5. All coins and bars are now weathered and/or tarnished, except those that will be in the main quest areas that have been sealed since the bombs dropped.
6. All coins, bars, and gemstone now have environmental mapping and masking.
7. I added four new perks: Coin Collector (LCK 6 required, increases coin drops from containers and enemies), Treasure Hunter (LCK 7 required, increases 1Kg bar and slightly increases gemstone drops), Bank Robber (LCK 8 required, increases the odds of finding everything in safes), and Precious Metal Smith (Int 7 and Science 65 required, increases bar to dipped cap yield by 25%).
8. The loot level lists/NPCs have been updated to reflect the treasure changes and perks. Drops are now relatively rare without the perks. If you want low loot levels, don't take the perks :).
9. I adjusted the collison geometry for the bars and it is a little better, but they still want to go upside down when you pick them up in game with the "Z" key. They are now easier to put rightside up however. I will keep working on it.
I am now working on the "New vegas Gold and Pawn Shop" for a permanent place for the bullion buyer that is at the 188 trading Post. I plan on each vendor to also have a stock of rare items, and custom made weapons and armor in the next update or two. I will then work on the quest/story line.
Version .61A/B (7 May 2012)
1. I added the 11Kg Bullion Bars back into the game.
2. All items are now harder to find, they were showing up far to frequently.
Version 9MayUpdate
1. I added the vendor with a ton of caps under the 188 overpass.
2. The recipes to down convert from 11kg bars to 11, 1kg bars, and from 1kg bars to 36 coins are now in.
3. I have achieved what I think is a happy medium of the loot level lists. I will be making a high loot, and low loot .esp files in a day or two.
4. This is an update only. You will need the low or high resolution versions already installed.
5. I am working on "weathering" the coin and bar textures. I may have them in an update in a few days.
Version .6A/B (7 May 2012)
1. I Changed the size of the gold and silver bars to a size close to what 1 KG should look like.
2. This one has the original high resolution textures. Version .6A has the new lower resolution textures if you want to preserve or improve performance.
Version .5 (6 May 2012)
1. This mod adds Gold and Silver coins, Gold and Silver bars, Emeralds, and Rubies to the Mojave wastes. They have been added to leveled lists, so they will show up in containers and NPC loot lists.
Silver Coins are semi common.
Silver Bars are uncommon.
Gold Coins are Semi rare.
Emeralds and Rubies are rare.
Gold Bars are extremely rare.
Look for a gold coin in Doc Mitchell's place.
2. In the next version I will be adding a vendor near New Vegas that will have the caps to buy the gold bars (very rare, the value is the current real life price for 1 Kg. of Gold. All items are based off that standard). Additionally the intent of this mod is to be a part of, or used with another mod that introduces some very expensive hardware into the Mojave Wastes. I will be working on that one in the near future.
3. I will also be working on a quest line to find the bullion reserve vault of the of the "Mojave Central Bank". It is said to still be full of pre-war treasure, but heavily guarded by still working automated defense systems. If you want to help please get a hold of me.
