I was testing out an armor sorting mod, and every time I loaded my save game or got near Good Springs, my head exploded! After making my game unplayable, with all the random deaths, I decided to investigate.
Turns out, 'GameMode' code will run on items that are in containers. Even containers the player doesn't have access to. One nasty item is the 'Explosive Collar' from the Hidden Valley 'Still in the Dark' quest.
What this mod does, is modify the 'HVExplosiveCollarScript' and adds a conditional to check that the player is in fact, wearing the explosive collar. Not wearing the collar when the GameMode script executes? You get a message saying 'Boom! Your head exploded!' and the scripting on the collar is disabled.
Tested thoroughly, you can complete 'Still in the Dark' with the collar working as intended for that quest, and if you run into a collar outside of that quest, it's rendered inert.
TL;DR 'Explosive Collar' had bad scripting, this fixes that, now your head stops randomly exploding while still being able to do the quest it was made for as originally intended.
