Name: New Vegas Spider Drones
Author: wallice
Category: Weapons
Required Files: Fallout New Vegas, Old World Blues

===============================================
DESCRIPTION:
===============================================

First, sorry for my english... hope you could read that.

Ok, here they are, Spider Drones from my FO3 Mod: Anchorage Spider Drones

This will require the Old World Blues DLc, where all needed textures and meshes can be found, except the meshes for the weapon, I made them from the spidermine creatures that came with OWB using nifskope. For the missing soundfiles I'd took the walking sound from the roboscorpions.

===============================================
WHERE TO GET THEM:
===============================================

You can find them in a drainage chamber south of Camp Searchlight near the searchlight trailer park (look the screens) complete with a little backround why they are there.

Inside you'll also find the schematics for them.

Explosives Skill of 50 required.
You'll need: 2 Scrap Metal, Fission Battery, Sensor Module, Plasma Mine to make 1 Spider Drone.

===============================================
FEATURES:
===============================================

- The Drones behave like mines first and MUST BE ACTIVATED after you've dropped them on the floor

- Two Modes to choose from, 'Follow Mode' and 'Search & Destroy Mode'

- The Drones will engage player targets

- The Drones won't engage companions or any actor that isn't hostile towards the player

- The Drones can be picked up anytime - as long as they aren't exploded

- Craftable on every workbench

- The Drones can be used to Guard several Locations like your home, or simply act as a pet.

================================================
NOTES:
================================================

- regardless of the number of enemies blown up by a Spider Drone you will only get 10XP, again as they are technically no Weapon there is no way to reward the player for laziness (maybe a spell would work for that but I had no luck when I tried) .

- don't add the Spider Drones to the Inventory by using console commands, they are scripted, if you want more its better to search for the components (or simply add the components by console) and make more on the workbench

- don't throw a Spider Drone exactly on another Drone - they'll exlode

- the Drones won't follow you though doors into new cells (how could they open doors?), simply pick them up if you need them

=================================================
INSTALLATION:
=================================================

- extract the files into your Fallout New Vegas\Data Folder
- activate SpiderDrones.esp in the FOMM or the Launcher

=================================================
DEINSTALLATION:
=================================================

- delete SpiderDrones.esp from your Fallout New Vegas\Data Folder
- delete SpiderDrone.nif from your Fallout New Vegas\Data\Meshes\weapons\1handminedrop Folder
- delete SpiderDrone.nif from your Fallout New Vegas\Data\Meshes\nvdlc03\creatures Folder

=================================================
COMPATIBILITY:
=================================================

- shouldn't be incompatible with anything as there are no changes in vanilla entries, only thing I can think of are minor problems with mods that change the searchlight trailer park cell (7,-27)

=================================================
TOOLS USED:
=================================================

- the G.E.C.K.
- NifSkope
