Adds lots of random Perks and Traits!

##Version Alpha##

This Mod adds a lot of new perks and traits. Some may break the balance of the game but I think that New Vegas does that at the end anyways. A lot of these are based off Fallout 1/2/Tactics and Arcanum.

You need to see the readme for most of the new Traits. I wanted the description to not be a bunch of numbers (even had to shorten them because they kept crashing the game) Or just pick them if you like the sounds of them and be surprised!


##Installation/Removal##

Install in your fallout new vegas/data folder and the texture folder in your data/textures. To uninstall delete the folder /textures/new perks and the esp.


##List of Perks##

Name: More Criticals

(Perk)
Description: You are more likely to cause Critical Hits in combat if you have this Perk. Each level of More Criticals will get you a +5% chance to cause a critical hit. This is a good thing.

Name: Gifted

(Trait)
Description: You have more innate abilities than most, so you have not spent as much time honing your skills. You have an additional point in each S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat but lose 5 skill points per level and all skills start at 15.

Name: Mr Fix It

(Perk)
Description: This Perk will give you a one-time bonus of +20 to the Repair and Science skills. A little late night cramming never hurt anybody, especially you.

Name: Bloody Mess

(Trait)
Description: By some strange twist of fate, people around you die violently. You always see the worst way a person can die.

Name: Negotiator

(Perk)
Description: You are a very skilled negotiator. Not only can you barter with the best of them, but you can talk your way into or out of almost anything.

Name: Salesman

(Perk)
Description: You are an adept salesperson. With this Perk you gain +20 towards your Barter skill.

Name: Master Thief

(Perk)
Description: You gain +15 to Sneak and Lock picking. Steal from the rich, and give to yourself.

Name: Survivalist

(Perk)
Description: You are a master of the outdoors. This Perk confers the ability to survive in the hostile environment of the Mojave Desert. You get a +20 bonus to Survival.

Name: Doctor

(Perk)
Description: This Perk increases your Medicine and Science by 20. Med books are a great read.

Name: Outdoorsmen

(Perk)
Description: Practical knowledge of the outdoors, and the ability to live off the land. The knowledge of plants and animals with +20 to your Survival skill.

Name: Thief

(Perk)
Description: The blood of a thief runs through your veins. With the Thief Perk, you get a one-time bonus of +10 to your Sneak, Lockpick, and Explosive skills. A well rounded thief is a live thief.

Name: Child at Heart

(Perk)
Description: The Child at Heart perk greatly improves your interactions with children, usually in the form of unique dialogue choices.

Name: Sadist (not active since I can't get it working)

(Perk)
Description: You enjoy pain. So much that killing gives you health. You enjoy killing THAT much.

Name: Alien Observer

(Trait)
Description: You aren't a true human. You are an alien whose spaceship crashed while you were observing a ship known as Zeta. Using the last remnants of your ships working technology, you changed yourself into one of the natives. The transformation wasn't perfect, leaving you a bit ugly (-2 charisma) but also keeping your original eyesight, which is better than average (+2 perception). You are not used to this form so you have a penality to Melee and Unarmed (-10) However, your former race has a very advanced technology (+10 science and energy weapons)

Name: Beat with Ugly Stick

(Trait)
Description: You are Ugly. There is just no other word for it, unless you consider extemely hideous as better. Children flee from you in terror and even the kindest of souls finds it difficult to stand your presence for long. As a result, you take an extreme penalty to Charisma (-5), but, because you have to defend yourself from frequent attacks, you gain a bonus to Strength (+2), Agility (+2) and all of your Combat Skills.

Name: Arsonist

(Trait)
Description: You like fire. No, you LOVE fire! Fire fire fire! You were always picked on as a kid for being scrawny (-1 Strength and -1 Endurance) but you showed them! You studied explosives (+20 Explosives, +1 Intellegence) and you burned their homes! Burned them to the ground! Ha ha! Then you ran away from home and became a courier for the Mojave Express.

Name: Nietzche PosterChild

(Trait)
Description: Nietzsche once said "That which does not kill me makes me stronger", and he may have been referring to you. All your life you have been making mistakes, but you always seem to come out better afterwards. In other words, enemies critically hit more than normal but you have a 45% experience point bonus.

Name: Charlatans Protege

(Trait)
Description: Having been convinced by a travelling salesman to become his apprentice, you've given up your life in the military academy you were enrolled in. You gain a major bonus to Charisma (+4) Speech (+20) and Barter (+20), but lose some physical Strength (-2) and Constitution (-2), as well as taking a penalty to all your Combat Skills (-20).

Name: Hyperactive

(Trait)
Description: You are constantly busy. Your Dexterity is higher then normal (+1), but most people find you annoying, and your Charisma suffers (-1).

Name: Back from Death

(Trait)
Description: You died, now your back. Brought back to life after a while of being dead, you have gained enlightenment from life's greatest mystery (+4 Intelligence). Unfortunately, Death ain't pretty and neither are you (-4 Charisma). Also the fact that all that rotting has weakened your muscles (-1 Strength), but made you more flexible (+1 Agility).

Name: Daredevil

(Trait)
Description: You do not feel fear, you feel good! The closer you are to death the better you feel. After learning about the dangers of the wasteland you left your home in search of excitement, you may not be as charming or smart as others but who needs a brain to run naked through a deathclaw nest? You gain bonus' to both luck and endurance (+2) but your looks and mind have suffered from your many exploits (-2 Intelligence and Strength)

Name: Cultist of the Dead

(Trait)
Description: You are a Speaker of the group called the Cult of the Dead. Your training allows you to easier find the truth (+2 Perception) and makes you a little better speaker (+15 Speech). Unfortunately, the rest of the world thinks that you're just another crazy cultist (-2 Charisma)

Name: Skilled (Not currently working due to the script, might need to see if NVSE lets it work)

(Trait)
Description: Since you spent more time improving your skills than a normal person, you gain 5 additional skill points per experience level. The tradeoff is that you do not gain as many extra abilities. You gain a perk every three levels.

Name: Degenerate Gambler

(Perk)
Description: You have been banned from the Casino but that won't stop you! With each rank in this Perk, you find that nothing will keep you from spending caps for 1 more spin on the wheel. Each level will make all the Casino's forget that you have been banned.

Name: Gambler's Luck

(Perk)
Description: You have played at the tables enough to know that Lady Luck is your Guardian Angel. This applies to all aspects of your life now, with a +1 to your luck skill and a small boost to your critical hit chance.

Name: Master Trader

(Perk)
Description: You have mastered one aspect of bartering - the ability to buy goods far cheaper than a normal person. With this Perk, you get a 25% discount when purchasing items from a store or another trader.
