Adds a bank card (portable bank) to the wasteland. Earn interest on your caps, get a loan, convert money, etc.

FALLOUT NEW VEGAS BANK CARD
These are the features of the card which I think the any player will enjoy.
LOAN (GETTING/PAYING):
If you are just starting out, it allows you to get up to a $5,000 Loan so you can buy better stuff than you start out with. However, once you get a loan you can not get another loan until that one is paid back. And do not think that you can get away
without paying the loan back. The longer you take to pay it off the more it will cost, as any loan will have interest charged against it until it is paid off.
DEPOSIT/WITHDRAWAL:
By putting all of your caps on your bank card it is just like placing your money in a savings account. The longer the money stays on your Bank Card the more interest you will earn. Thereby increasing the number of caps you have.
You can also withdraw caps from your card at any time you like.
AUTO DEPOSIT:
You have the option to set the card so your caps are automatically deposited onto the card so you can begin interest right away. (Auto deposit occurs once every day at midnight.)
MONEY CONVERSION:
This allows you to change all of your Legion or NCR money to caps, when you are not near a vendor, so that you can add them to the card to gain interest. I originally tried to set this up allowing the player to convert varying amounts ($100, $500, $1000 or All). However, the scripting involved was too complex to deal with so it now simply allows you to convert All Legion, NCR, or Prewar money (not varying amounts).
MONEY CONSOLIDATION:
If you have ever noticed there are 2 different types of NCR and Legion Money. This is because Obsidian (in their infinite wisdom) decided to make a separate currency for the caravan traders to use. Why I don't know, but included in the bank card is a small script that will automatically take all of the Caravan Money and switch it to plain Legion or NCR.
NOTE: If you have my Consolidate Money mod, you can remove it from your Mod list should you use the Bank Card Mod.
INSTALLATION:
Simply copy BankCard.esp to your Fallout New Vegas Data folder and activate it using any of the Mod Manager software out there. When the game starts you will be given a Bank Card.
When you first install the mod it will automatically check to see if you have a Bank Card. If not, one will be automatically added to your inventory. The Card will be listed in the Apparel section of your PipBoy (it was developed as a piece of clothing so it could be equipped/unequipped for purposes of having the menu open up). After that all you have to do is equip it and the menu will open once you exit your PipBoy.
ACTIVATE CARD:
To activate the card simply open the PipBoy and equip the Bank Card. When you exit the PipBoy, the card will activate. Once you have finished and exit the card is automatically unequipped.
NOTE: There is a short wait once you exit the PipBoy before the bank card system loads. I put in a .5 second delay so the PipBoy could close completely before launching the bank card menu. I have found that, even with my computer, it will sometimes open as soon as you exit or there could be a wait of 1 second or 2 before it opens.
BUGS: None known at this time
CONFLICTS: There should not be any conflict with any other mod. This mod is completely vanilla, using a terminal screen and scripting The Bank Card is set as a quest item so that you cannot accidentally sell or drop it. The two images used for the Bank Card are vanilla items (Blue Metro Pass Card and the icon image for it), thereby making it almost 100% certain to NOT conflict with any other mod.
NOTE: For those interested I have a script only version of this mod up and available http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=42311 Just be sure to remove your caps from the current card before installing the other.
SPECIAL NOTE:
For those who have suggested putting a bank in the wasteland to use the card at: All of you seem to have forgotten what convenience we have now with bank accounts. With the advent of the PDA we can now access our bank accounts online from anywhere in the world. The Bank Card should be thought of just like a PDA. Why do we need a physical bank when all that is required is online access. :)
