Note for those who downloaded before 1/16/11: I just realized that the updated RAR uploaded last night had some confused directories, and that people were playing the mod with no meshes and galore. I am re-uploading the RAR now. Please forgive me for the complete lack of professionalism! Find the stray KUNGFUBELLYDANCER/Belly dance folder which is most likely in the \data folder, and copy+paste it over the meshes/kungfubellydancer/belly dance folder. Make sure it has the meshes in it (indicative of .nif file type). That should fix the problem.

For those who downloaded before 1/18/11: there is a spelling error that prevented sounds from working. The Sounds folder should have been Sound, so all the folders within should be hand-placed into the correct Sound folder in your /data directory.

Belly Dance Costumes - Beta
by Kungfubellydancer
--------------------

version 0.3

Description
-----------
In the ruins of the old Gomorrah Casino, the Omertas come across an antique Middle Eastern lamp. Thinking it was just another decorative item, they put it up in the lobby for all the patrons to admire before entering or exiting the Casino. Little did they know that it contains magical powers, and is in fact a magic lamp housing a Djinna (female Genie) named Layla, still waiting for her long-dead master to summon her. You will go to her realm in his place, and she will sell you her clothing.

Still the beginning of an expanding mod, this mod offers some new belly dance clothing for your player to wear. As of yet, this outfits are female-only, but I do plan to make male variants of some or all costumes. Available in this version are:

- 4 Cabaret/Turkish Belly Dance Costumes
- 2 Face veils
- 4 Tribal Belly Dance Costumes
- 4 Tribal Headbands
- 2 Showgirl dresses
- 2 showgirl plumes

At this stage in the Beta, the Genie World is nearly complete, though with a few things to finish up, like the rudimentary radio channel system and the Navmesh. Please read more about Updates and Bugs below.

Please note that each outfit requires hours of work, as I like to choose only the best combination of pieces to include in the outfits, usually from images available as stock online. It is not simply a matter of recoloring a single costume into four or five colors. I like to make each piece unique. I only a maximum of 1 recolor for each individual costume. As such, if you have any ideas or requests that you'd like me to produce, feel free to let me know.

NOTE: For religious and personal reasons, I will not replace the outfits of the Gomorrah prostitutes with my outfits. As a belly dancer myself, I do understand that these costumes are sexy and revealing, but I don't like to be thought of as a stripper or whore while I dance, and I don't want to promote this thinking by putting the costumes on the prostitutes, and further associating the ancient art of Middle-Eastern Belly Dance with prostitution. I do, however, give you permission to do so on your own personal game, but re-uploads of my mod, in full or in part, are not allowed.

Please visit this thread to get an idea of what other things I plan to do. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/284106-belly-dance-dresses

Location
--------
Layla Al-Djinna's lamp is found hanging in the Gomorrah lobby near the corner. Simply activate it, and you will be teleported to her realm. She is most likely found near the courtyard pool.

Requirements/Recommendations
----------------------------
-Requires Type 3 standard bodies for women, and Breeze's for men (note that men's clothes aren't out yet.)
-Recommend using Readius or something that eliminates the arm pip-boy so that the bracelets can be seen.
-The hair pieces work better with larger non-vanilla hairstyles, as they tend to "float" over vanilla hairs.

Installation
------------
Copy the files into your \fallout new vegas\data directory.

Glitches/Bugs
---------------

-Occasionally the necklaces vanish at some camera angles. There doesn't seem to be a reason why. Confirmed in GECK, but seems to be fine in-game.
-The dresses have some clipping in during crouch or fight animations, and tattoos/dangling beads sometimes vanish into the skin of the torso.
-Because this dress contains transparency layers, if you have long hair that passes over the skirt, it may disappear, revealing the panties beneath, or nothing at all.
-For some reason, interacting with the Antique Pitcher will cause your game to slow down. Just leave them alone if this happens.
-The water may not show up in the courtyard pool, or may be above ground and flooding the tent.
-The radio does not broadcast to the speakers. For now, it's been enabled to play on your pip-boy.
-Sometimes the radio will only play about 10 seconds of a song and then skip to another.
-The clothing do not play their jingling walking sounds. They play only the default clothing sounds.
-Lighting will only load if you are directly beneath it.
-MAJOR: the AI package that was given to Layla caused crashes when she tried to utilize it. This has been removed from her, so don't worry about it.

Updates
-------
1/17/11 Nearly complete djinn realm, radio system. Still needs Navmesh and AI packages for Layla and her future friends. Also needed is fully-voiced dialogue. There will be, of course, more clothes and some for men as well.
1/13/11 A few new outfits are added. Some clipping is fixed. Progress of the shop is underway but is yet inaccessable.
1/12/11 New Meshes and Texture to fix clipping. Still remains minor clipping on right thigh during crouch animations: will be fixed later.

Credits

Type 3 bodies goes to dimon99

Idea, remodelling and textures go to me. Some original models by me.
