This mod grants you the ability to start Fallout New Vegas from the standpoint of a member of one of the major factions. Each choice places the character in a camp or building owned by a particular faction and adds faction reputation for said faction. There is a quest for each faction start that walks the player through setting up their character (via an activator), attaining a note from the faction leader (to add some background), and collecting their gear (weapons, non-faction replica, misc, etc.).

NOTE: The player cannot escape (doors are marked destroyed or blocked) the initial starting area until they have completed the quest and gathered both the faction note and Courier note (in player container). Likewise, none of the activators should be available unless you have selected to start a particular faction (this prevents accidental character re-building later on).


The factions are:
1) New Republic of California
2) Caesar's Legion
3) Brotherhood of Steel
4) Great Khan
5) Freeside
6) Powder Ganger
7) Fiend

Unrar and place "Roleplay Start X.esp" into Data folder, enable.

Disable "Roleplay Start X.esp"

Compatibility:

This mod makes a lot of changes to the VCG01 starting quest and VCG04's Activator script. If your mods do not affect these things then you should be fine. It also adds some content, but most is not accessible without starting in a specific faction.

Bugs/Issues:
===============

I have played through each of the starting factions and have not encountered any issues. Some people have encountered issues with the BoS start, but I have been unable to reproduce.

V1.1 - Doc Mitchell's house no longer causes player to get stuck in original VCG01 opening loop of laying on bed.
v1.2 - Vit-o-matic Vigor Tester in Doc Mitchell's house set to destroyed when using a RP start
