Title:Whitened Teeth
Author:Snake152
Version: 2.0
Details
-------
This mod simply replaces the default brown and rotten looking teeth for humans with a whiter alternative.
Installation
------------
1) Extract the contents to a temporary folder
2) Copy your preferred Textures folder to your New Vegas Data directory (overwrite if asked)
(ex: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data)
3) To use these textures, you'll have to invalidate the defaults. To do this, simply open (or create if you don't have it) ArchiveInvalidation.txt in your base New Vegas folder (ex: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas) and add the following lines:
textures/characters/mouth/teethupperhuman.dds
textures/characters/mouth/teethlowerhuman.dds
ArchiveInvalidation.txt can be created or edited with Notepad.
Uninstallation
--------------
Simply delete the files and remove the entries from your ArchiveInvalidation.txt file.
Bugs
----
Some people have reported issues of the mouth being purple or the default textures not being replaced. I've only encountered the purple problem on NPCs. It seems to have something to do with the file MouthHumanMerged.dds (included in some cosmetic mods, such as Rikais Beauty Pack), so I've included an edited version of that file as well.
Release Info
------------
v2.0 - Regular and Pearl reworked, optional merged files added
v1.1 - Regular version added
v1.0 - First release, Pearl teeth only
Other
-----
To my knowledge, this shouldn't cause any incompatibilities with other mods unless they use the affected files (or override them). These textures were tested with Rikais Beauty Pack and seem to work fine.
Notes
-----
This was inspired by a mod for Fallout 3 by Luchaire that did the exact same thing (whitened teeth), but all files included are my own work.
