This mods adds purchasable NCR Military Rations Lacey at the NCR Mojave Outpost Barracks, as well as adding a crafting recipe to make them yourself. The recipe is located somewhere in Camp McCarran, it shouldn't be too difficult to find. Feel free to comment with any balance issues or bugs you encounter. This is my first mod, but all seems to be working well.
Requires 45 survival to craft and the following items:
1 Lunchbox
1 Fork
1 Spoon
1 Butter Knife
1 Bottle of Purified Water depending on which file you choose.
1 Bighorner Meat
1 Insta-mash
1 Fancy Lads Snack Cakes
And provides the following effects:
Restore Starvation 250
Restore Dehydration 65
Restore Health 4 over 15s
Increased End 1 for 8hrs
You will also be refunded your Lunchbox, Fork, Spoon, and Knife. Each ration kit also contains a random Caravan Playing Card.
The latest version released makes it so the majority of NCR soldiers will carry these in their inventory. I have noticed that they will eat these if they take damage, so you may find that they have only the silverware, lunchbox, and playing card in their inventory.
After five years, I've decided to update this mod. The overpowered buffs have been toned down. Consuming a ration buffs your endurance for 8 hours now, as well as providing a modest healing effect like other food does. The value has been increased to make them more balanced to buy and trade, and the model has been changed to look like a piece of paper instead of a blueprint. I have updated the description with the new recipe. It no longer required buffout, and uses Bighorner meat instead of Brahmin meat, which should make them easier to put together.
