  • 0.11 - Removed annoying equip sound every time entering menumode. Optimized script a bit. Hopefully fixed a freeze on loading.

Description


This is as comprehensive a PipRemover as I can think of, with numerous optional features included depending on your mod setup.

The remover works
  • With just vanilla New Vegas
  • With NVSE + Keyboard
  • With NVSE + Controller
  • With NVSE + MCM



The following extra features are also included
  • Change various pipboy-related game settings: (FOV, Blur, Scanlines..)
  • Change PipLight-color and -intensity
  • Change PipBoy Skins, including my personal favourite, Good Ol' PipBoy made by invock, and also comes with the PimpBoy-fix.


NoN-NVSE
If you run the PipboyRemover without NVSE, it will default to this mode. In non-NVSE mode, your PipBoy will not be visible in game-mode but will be equipped in menu-mode, including opening the game console.

More importantly, without NVSE you will have an empty left arm-piece where your pipboy supposed to be. You can circumvent this by mapping your equipped armor to one of the hotkeys available through 1-8, and then unequip + re-equip it while in game-mode.

NVSE - Keyboard
If you run the PipboyRemover with NVSE, it will default to this mode. This is the most thorough working behaviour. Your PipBoy will only appear when you want it to - when opening the pipboy - as well as your armor will be fixed when you open/close your menu. However, this mode only works with keyboard imput, not controllers.

NVSE - Controller
To access this mode, you will need the Mod Configuration Menu, and change your imput type from Keyboard to Controller.

This is a hybrid of the non-NVSE and NVSE-Keyboard mode. Your PipBoy will still be visible in some menus where it shouldn't be - like when opening the console, however, your armor will be fixed like in the NVSE version.

Installation


  • Extract all the files from the archive.
  • Copy files to (installdir)\Data\.
  • Use your preferred Mod Manager and enable PipBoyRemover.esm.
  • ???
