About this mod

Closer To Fallout: True Threshold modifies one game setting so that damage threshold no longer allows bleedthrough. Previously, if you shot at an enemy with a DT of 10 with a 5 dam weapon, a small amount of damage would leak through automatically. This mod fixes that.

Permissions and credits
In vanilla New Vegas, there is a minimum amount of damage that each weapon will do, even if you're shooting at a power-armored enemy with a silenced .22 pistol that lorewise and common-sense wise wouldn't have any hope of doing damage.

In the original Fallout games, this was not the case. A high enough damage threshold could make enemies completely impotent against heavily armored individuals, assuming they weren't packing powerful weaponry.

This mod brings that back. It changes absolutely nothing else, so it should be compatible with anything but another mod that edits the min damage variable.

Note: This should apply to both you and enemies. Consequently, while armor for you will get more effective versus weak damage per shot weapons, this will also apply to armored foes. I've found that some of them, particularly giant radscorpions, get a lot scarier when you can't even damage them.

Also, this mod will impact the vanilla NV balance, swinging things towards heavier/higher-DT armor.

Install: Place Closer to Fallout - True Threshold.esp in your New Vegas\data directory. By default this is in your steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\data directory. Then open up the data files launcher (or utilize any of the mod managers which will soon spring up), tick the plugin, and off you go.
