The .50 cal XM307 was specifically designed for use as a heavy weapon when wearing T-45d power armor, and has a number of features that make it suitable for this role. The gun is externally powered, meaning that misfires do not need to be manually cleared, instead the rounds are simply ejected. Developed by Glastinghouse,Inc, a weapons subsidiary of RobCo Industries in around 2073. The basic principle involved an externally driven endless chain that ran around the receiver and operated a more or less traditional rotating bolt and bolt carrier through a single abutment, fixed to the chain. This principle was used to develop a wide array of weapons, including a 30mm autocannon for the VB-02 Vertibird

    I really like how very similar yet so different this is to the Vanilla minigun. It's obvious you recycled the textures, but the way you did it is great. I also like the resemblance to the M230. It would be amazing to see this integrated into the XRE Vertibird mod. What caliber do you plan on making this?

      thanks , i always thought that the Sentry gun looked like the M230 Chain Gun on the AH-64 Apache. And on the caliber,at first i was thinking 5.56 then 308 now i think it will be in .50 cal because,well look at the thing ...

      I think it would be cool to see a new caliber, 30mm. To be honest, too many mods use .50.
