    Wouldn't those soldiers need something like hollow points, or armor piercing rounds in their weapons to penetrate the power armor?

      Hollowpoints wouldn't even phase them. Armor piercing on the other hand may be more effective.

      A headshot delivered with 0.50 BMG AP or explosive rounds? That'd be pretty much lethal or disabling regardless if it's a power armor or not. Concussion would do the trick even if armor plating was left intact.
