With all those modern accommodations and Rez, who couldn't cut loose and relax.
Nice lil showcase with a nice lil message in there too. Looks like ya kicked back and let this one write itself... Or just let Ramona do all the work.

It was a nice, relaxing break for me too - not real story to worry about or history to keep track of or worry about contradicting in the future or not agreeing with something I'd already written. I even had fun taking the pictures to the point of posing a couple, that's saying a lot.

Thanks for checking it out, TC!

      Sure thing!
I've been contemplating getting into some posing but it just seems like alot of patience, time and skill is needed; things that I just don't have alot of. However the choices you made here were well utilized!

It really depends on the situation and what pose[s] you want to use. If it's a single character in a scene it's a simple matter of typing in the animation in the console or triggering it with the Groovatron [this is assuming you know offhand what pose you want, otherwise finding it and selecting it is where the frustration and annoyance begins].

If there's multiple characters to arrange then you've got to deal with positioning before posing and if two characters are going to be extremely close you'll end up needing to freeze the game with TFC 1 so they don't repel each other and then fine tune positions using getpos x/y/z and setpos x/y/z. There's also commands to change rotation/angle, though I've never used them.

Like any skill, though, it gets easier and smoother with practice and exposure. ...but it can still be tedious.

Man that's alot of steps... and you didn't even mention head and eye tracking. I was not aware there are rotation/angle settings. I think I've tried changing 'z' (up and down I believe) before and had unfavorable results.

But none the less, you're probably right... ultimately the more you do it, the faster and more comfortable you become.

Yep, there's plenty of little nuances to deal with if you want to get into the finer details. It's easy enough to get started, but can take a lifetime to master.

A very nice set with some thoughts to ponder. I go fishing a couple of times pr year but I always get frustrated if I don't catch anything. Instead I have to learn to let go. Baja is really a place one can dream of. I've barely scratched the surface of the new one yet. But I am sure that Harvey and Val will find their way there sooner rather than later Vedette looks oddly out of place. But she fits in with Mona nevertheless and her easygoing stykle fits well with Baja. "Live and let live" is her motto I guess. final thoughts: Mona looks awesome in that - rather skimpy- bikini

Thanks Bernt. Huh, when you put it like that, it's the same lesson the Sierra Madre tries to teach. Definitely looking forward to more Val and Harvey if you get to doing more for them.

Yeah, I really should have done more prep in the wardrobe department for everyone - I hadn't actually planned on doing a story set for this, but you know how that goes... Check out a mod update, take some screenshots, story forms and runs away from you...

I could have done better by both girls in the wardrobe department, but I was already there and shooting... I could easily put Mona into pretty much anything, but I wasn't about to stuff Vedette into a micro bikini - there's a reason I'm given free reign to do whatever with her and I'm not about to do anything to put that in jeopardy.

Yeah, that might be an accurate motto for her. If Vedette can forgive Benny after what he did to her, maybe there's something Ramona can learn from her about mercy and letting go of the past ...yeah, and maybe brahmin will fly too! Still, we can hope.

Maybe someday Mona will want to dress up [or down] for someone again and we'll see if we can't try to present her as a lady again.

I know what you mean about Vedette. Being allowed to use a character created by someone else is to me the utmost sign of trust within this community. A trust that must not be jeopardized. I like to do some supporters stuff every now and then. But there are characters that I will never take there - for that exact reason. I know Mona has a luggage that woukd break most people's necks. I just hope that one day she will heed Vera's words. It is good to see her in relaxed situations now and then.

Indeed, every now and then can be allowed to happen. I'm not Angrod after all. [said with all love and respect for Angrod, he just has a different management style for his characters] An occasional break isn't a bad thing.

Wonderfully done, Brig. I'm fashionably late as always due to internet issues yesterday, sorry I didn't see this sooner. I may just have to try this mod out and the saying that goes with it, "What happens in Baja, stays in Baja"--it looks pretty awesome.

As a cat it's better to be fashionably late than too late for tuna, right?

I thought the saying was what happens at Baja and Phoenix Point tends to end up in the supporter's section.

At any rate, yes, the update is definitely worth a look. Maybe Cord can drag Raven away for a vacation...

It's all good, not like our characters end up in the Supporter's section very often.

Ahh The Ramones, One of my favorites.

Thanks Brig, it was some cheering up I much needed.

In RL I lost my youngest daughter last week, who was only 22 years old.

I hope you all enjoy the update but hope you all understand I will be stepping away for some time to wrap my head around it all.

    Best wishes

    ReZ

Glad to offer a smile, not so much the need for one.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I'll never forget losing a twelve year old nephew that lived in the same house with us about fifteen years ago. It was hard doing things that I'd done with him again after he was gone and there are times it still hits me.

We all deal with grief differently and in our own way, sometimes time is the only thing that makes things any easier to deal with and sometimes it will come rushing back like it was yesterday. The memories of carrying a casket and lowering it into the ground are forever burnt into my mind and I don't envy what you're going through right now, but please know that you're not alone and if you ever need to unload I'm always willing to listen.

Take all the time you need, man. We'll save your seat for you and look forward to seeing Old Man Rez on the dock again, doing and talking about what he loves. I'll be thinking about you and sending positive thoughts when I see him in game.

Take care of yourself and your family.

Thanks Rexus, I had fun shooting this one and the writing was rather enjoyable. I don't show off Mona's skin to that degree too often, so it's a nice change of pace.

10 minutes -- still waiting for this to load. Not your fault or nexus -- stupid WiFi at this campground is worthless. I waited 'til 04:30 hoping that the speed -- baud rate to use an archaic term -- would be better.

That was great. It's a thoroughly enjoyable mod. The mast of the sunken ship caught my eye and I (Micky) had to do some exploring as well. (I have a little series on that if I can get away from Point Lookout for awhile.) The bar is a fantastic addition. I think it was wise for Mona to stick to her own whisky rather than those foo foo drinks. Anyone who puts an umbrella in a drink is trying to hide something by fooling you with it's apparent innocence.Did you try the Rave lights?

Aww, the philosophical comments concerning Vedette's friendship were special.

Thanks Cormell - Yeah, even hardened killers have hearts and feelings no matter how hard they try to hide them.

The bar is indeed awesome, though my ENB settings made it out to be a bit too bright for decent images. I had to tweak a lot just to be able to see at times - not the mod's fault, of course. I did play with the rave and dance levers a little. I was actually about to bring Vedette to the bar to attempt a dance scene when I discovered she was already on a dance idle elsewhere. It seemed wrong to interrupt her since she was already doing what I was going to have her do.

Oh golly... I remember my first 2400 baud modem and the how thrilled I was when I got my first 14.4K to replace it. My family actually ran a BBS in the early days of modems back on our old Atari ST. Technology sure has come a long way, huh? ...Ah, the days when it took about ten minutes to download a megabyte....
