About this mod
This builder resource provides a set of placed effects that will produce static versions of all the standard grass textures for use in interior areas
- Permissions and credits
- Creating a flourishing conservatory or greenhouse
- Adding plant growths in a cave beneath an opening in the ceiling
- Providing potted plants for a florist or herbalist
- Filling a planter in a well-lit mansion corridor, hanging below exterior windows, or sitting on a roof top
Each placed effect is provided in two forms: a small version with two pairs of intersecting planes, and a larger version with seven pairs arranged in a hexagonal pattern. The placed effects can be rotated about their centers, allowing you to create a mixture of appearances by
varying the orientations.
Installation
The download consists of a 7z archive file containing a hak file, an erf file, and a test module.
- Extract the contents of the 7z archive
- Place the 'grass_effects.hak' file in the 'hak' folder under your Document's 'Neverwinter Nights 2' folder
- Launch the toolset, open a module, and select Module Properties from the View menu
- In the Properties panel, select the Hak Paks data field and click on the ellipsis...
- In the dialog window, ckick on Add
- In the resulting FileName field, click on the Ellipsis...
- Go to your Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\hak folder and open the 'grass_effects.hak' file
- Click Okay
To add the grass blueprints:
- Select Import... from the File menu
- Import the grass.erf file
There should now be a Grass pick under the Placed Effects blueprints.
Known issues
- Selecting any of the grass placed effects will cause the bounding box of the first grass placed effect to be displayed. If you hit the delete key while this effect is visible, the effect will be deleted.
- The placed effects can not be resized unless they are attached to a placeable.
