About this mod

A pack containing a series of Overrides for Vanilla NWN Creatures, some retextures of Vanilla content, others from separate Hak files compiled into one.

Permissions and credits
This is an override package full of replacers for NWN content.

You need NWN with all expansions, patched to the latest version, and content from the Creature
Override Compilation mod found here: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Creatures.Detail&id=629

Included in the package is the default replacers for models, textures and creature/NPC portraits, and optional packages in separate folders also, such as alts for Aribeth.

To install, simply drop the the override folder contained within the package into your NWN's directory override folder and you should be good to go.

For those of you who want the additional portraits that replace the vanilla ones in the character creation menu, there will be a separate file for you, but for now, it's all in the Override folder so you'll have to fish them out by making a file search with 'po' in it.

The Balor has been fixed up with smoother looking textures, and been given golden shackles and an eye texture based on one of the NWN wallpapers on his skull and I've darkened the horns.

However, this is merely a first product as I was making this whilst finding out which parts of his texture papered on which parts of his body, and found out which one the sash was, so I may restore a smoothed out texture on the sash later and redo the gold.

I also plan on giving him matching underwear if it's possible (he's bare under it)

I'll do a white horns version at some point, and a different set of shackles and sash.

In the Creature Override Compilation, there is a Vampire Female Model made by another author, but it doesn't work because the textures are missing If I recall.

Anyhow, I got my hands on the model from a Ravenloft Hakpack and edited it, smoothing the textures out on the face because the resolution size was sprite tier small, resulting in nasty pixelisation on the model not to mention the model is made using hands from the Illithid replacers (Which I've yet to learn how to make work) so she only has four fingers. I smoothed out the face and hair, and redid the lips, so it didn't look like a pixelated mess.

It's done for now, but I'm going to go back to it and give a lighter version for the clothes as I darkened them to suit the original vanilla Female Vampires level of shade. Additionally, her mouth textures is merely the lip one stretch out, which for whatever reason doesn't seem to show up accordingly ingame when it does in the NWNexplorer, so I may have to revisit it.

As for the splitting lines on the model, Blame the publisher.

Oh and it also uses the same teeth as the werewolf model, Which I will rectify by making the model rely on a separate texture later.

I might do a retexture of the vanilla NWN Vampire Female to suit the portrait in the future as an ALT

The Vampire Male Replacer Is a retexture of the Ravenloft Strahd Model, set to suit the Vanilla portrait of the Male Vampire. In future I'll look to further the size of it's collar on it's clothes (Not mesh editing) though I might want to just retexture the Original Vanilla Male vampire model instead replacing it's head texture with one of the head overwrite model textures which makes it playable one can find on the modding sites to start myself off, because the vanilla one was slightly on model anyhow.

On first glance you may assume the lich is from the creature Override or Undead Redux, but it isn't.

You see it's from Project Q and it has a notable difference between the original in that the clavicle bones are visible from behind.

But alas, Project Q made the mistake of doing such retexturs and not making the models which used them independent, so when I used this one, it ruined the other Skeletons I had, so I fixed this.

The Lich Model will now use a mixture of it's own textures, and the ones supplied in the creature

override, or undead redux so get your hands on that.

In future, I might make an entire retexture to make the Lich look more like it's Vanilla self using independent textures as an alt.

Project Q also had at least three other Lich models, one for Kharlat Jareg, and one which was in robes, but I found the main one that is offered on Planet Neverwinter and the one I found in Project Q, hence why I've used it.

The only bother with the texture Is that I think there's a part made invisible that looks cut off so I'll have to rectify it later.

Also, Project Q has a few Portraits that can be used as replacers which I intend to use.

The Nymph has been retextured to look more like her Portrait art found ingame, and as I found out during the process of this, She was indeed SUPPOSED to be white because there's a massive high rez picture of said ingame portrait but white and high rez, but this one is for those who like their nature beauty's blue.

The Texture was smoothed out, but it was already made and part of another HAK File on the vault, so I extracted that and used it, which isn't the best idea overall, but it was a quick fix.

I may revisit it to apply the hair from Nymph platinum hair replacer to this texture later, or Start from scratch to make my own, and include some missing details so as the net bra.

Will make a Nude Alt, possibly using a new model.

Maugrim has been the biggest success for me, as Prior to his retexture, he looked like he'd seen a ghost or somethinf, and now he's slightly less off portrait, though I might place some more work on detailing the head again.

His pauldrons were blocky due to the pixelation in his textures including his other flat outstanding model pieces which used textures and smoothing them out improved them tenfold.

I darkened and shaded his metallic gear bluish to match his portrait image, and his reddish Armour too, darkened his facial features to match the portrait, and made his Scars more visible.

For some reason, he actually had more scars on his model than in his portrait, but it seems that this is unfixable, because the texture mirrors at this point, so I left it.

I darkened his eyes especially for his bags, and gave him the Brown eyes with the White pupils, evident by his ingame cutscene portrait and a wallpaper.

The Bone Golem is made to match Project Q, Creature Override Compilation and the Undead Redux replacers and is something I found on it's own.

I might make an alt which has the vanilla spell seals on it's person.

The Gargoyles are from a the Neverwinter vault's project catalog by someone else and are animated fully, will be including more of said persons replacers later, such as his Hellhound replacer and rat replacer and one of his cat one's also.

The Slaad are also from the vault cataloge

I'll rework a few of them, including the Death Slaad by giving it a skull on it's back for front, and probably add bodypaint.

Also, they're huge ingame.

The elementals have been replaced using the Classic elementals mod and Grue's elementals for the Elders, but I've yet to use Grues portrait replacers because I can't find where the Bioware default vanilla portrait filenames are kept in order to make them replace the old ones

Sadly the it is impossible to apply variety to the water Elemental models, due to the only good models being of course the classic elemental one and because they use shared animations.

The Earth Elder has been kept the same, but I aim to fix that by retexturing the Broken earth elder replacer which is located in another file, on Planet NWN.

I'll also do a touch up of the Regular Earth elder to show the Magma on it's body better. as an Alt

As for now, I'm currently Working On:
-Slighty greener closer to portrait Dryad
-Possibly A Vanilla Wight retexture
-Harat edit
-Heurodis Neaten up scales or replace her model with a new one I have applying the textures over
-Masterius (I feel like making him more blue)
-Minogon and regular Minotaur
-Morag to make her resemble her portrait art more (Jewelry, darker tones of green)
-Rat and dire rat (have found some good repalcer models)
-Possibly the shadows (if possible)
-Ghost Models such as the Alip, Spectre and wraith (Think I have a new few lying around in a hakpack)
-Spiders (have the textures and models but need to place them in the file)
-improvement of succubus (there's a model but it uses a Low rez texture)
-White Umber Hulk retexture
-Werecat and Wererat
-Yuan ti
-Azers
>Aribeth Good + Bad

When I finish this off, I plan to include optional Models from stuff I've found In the Hakpacks I have.
