About this mod

I split Chico\'s NWNCQ into multiple haks, one per tileset. Rather than keep this system of organization to myself, I am sharing it here for others to use.

Chico400's NWNCQ project is a considered a quality staple by many, but the hak system for NWNCQ is an all or nothing affair. Since I only wanted to use about half of NWNCQ's tilesets in the modules I am working on (and different combinations of tilesets in each module), I split NWNCQ into multiple haks, one per tileset. Rather than keep this system of organization to myself, I am sharing it here for others to use. I have not made any modifications to the resources themselves.

CONTENTS:
This package is currently updated to NWNCQ version 1.3, but does not include the scifi add ons nor does it have the NWShader files. I have included all of the enhanced resources in this package, and all of the tilesets. Each tileset has its own hak. And there is one base hak with resources that appear to be shared by more than one tileset.

DISCLAIMER:
I am not the creator of NWNCQ. This entry is simply a reorganization of the NWNCQ haks. Nothing more. Pleas vote on Chico's NWNCQ project before you vote on this project. Chico deserves credit for this amazing project.

PROS and CONS:
This system of hak organization has one major disadvantage. NWNCQ when split up this way will eat up your module's hak budget fast (the limit of haks for a mod is around 50). However I am using 16 NWNCQ tilesets in one mod and have fit in a great deal of other custom content including Project Q (10 haks), 10 tileset haks, and 9 custom haks for my mod. And so even with NWNCQ split up like this, I still have some room left over for other haks.

The advantages of this modular approach to NWNCQ are numerous. Most importantly this organization allows a builder to switch tilesets on and off in your module properties window, under custom content. Secondly players won't have to download various versions of NWNCQ over and over again. You just download this system once, and no matter what combination of tilesets a builder uses, you can play.

USE:
All of the haks are bundled in one download. Unpack the archive and you will see all the haks needed for the NWNCQ Modular Hak System.

Builders: download all of the haks. Put them in your hak folder. Load up your module. Launch module properties. Click on the Custom Content Tab. Add the NWNCQ base hak. Then add each of the other NWNCQ tileset haks you want to use.

Players - if you are playing a mod thatuses these haks - download the entire package, extract the haks, and place them in your hak folder. The builder will handle the rest.
