List of gameplay changes:
- Cattle will follow the Player with Lord AI (When "Drive the cattle forward" is selected)
- Cattle will move at mounted speed
- PC Party size limit changes: 10 troops per Leadership point; 1 troop per 5 renown points. (Unchanged: Base Party Size = 10) With 10 Leadership and 1000 renown max party size would be 310 (Kingly-sized army).
- NPC Party size limit changes: 10 troops per Leadership point; 1 troop per 10 renown points. (Unchanged: Base Party Size = 30; King bonus = 100 troops; Limit increased by 1.11% per player level)
- Morale changes: 30 morale per Leadership point, no morale reduction for Heroes. This change is necessary to allow large PC armies.
- Max number of prisoners = 15 per prisoner management point (from 5 per)
- Quest repeat timers: most are decreased by 25-50% (to enable more frequent questing)
- Refusing a quest from village elder will no longer prevent him from ever offering quests again
- Allow asking guild masters for a different quest
- Tournament betting increased to 1000, 500, 250, 100, 50
- Tax revenue percentage for towns increased substantially
- Improvement build times reduced substantially (not cost just time)
- Mills improve prosperity by 10% every month (instead of one time 5% bonus)
- King awarding land changes: Base renown bonus decreased 50%, owning castle penalty reduced 50%, owning town penalty increased 20%, random roll limited from 50-100 to 50-60, leading the assault multiplier increased from 50% to 200%, relationship bonus increased from negligible to important.
- Mercenaries available in towns changed from 3-8 to 4-12
- Volunteers available in villages: must have minimum relationship of 5 with village to recruit troops, maximum number available = village relationship + 10; (still random 0 to maximum)
- Volunteers recruited in villages based on faction ownership of village (recent ownership change takes 72 hours to take effect)
- Non-lord enemies will band together against you (looters, sea raiders, bandit, etc) and Non-Lord friendlies will come to your aid (Caravans, peasants, manhunters)
- Lord escape rate after being defeated by Player reduced from 80% chance of escape to 25% chance of escape (greater chance of capture of enemy lord)
- Food morale bug corrected
- Food consumption reduced from 3 troops per food every 14 hours to 5 troops per food every 24 hours
