The Elder Scrolls Online Beta Signup!

  • Comment
Update: Not getting any confirmation after applying for the beta? Be sure to check your spam folder! It has been reported to end up there quite a lot.

Great news! The beta sign-up for The Elder Scrolls Online started today!

Be among the first to set foot in the massive world of Elder Scrolls Online! The Beta will begin soon, so be quick about signing up!

Now, remember everyone; this is not meant to be for you to just play the game before launch - this is a beta, and as such, you should not be playing the game just to have fun - you should be TESTING the game, and reporting your findings to ZeniMax Online Studios. If this is not your intent, don't sign up.

But enough of that, to celebrate this, Bethesda Softworks released a Cinematic!

I must say, this was a very well done Cinematic, and I really enjoyed it. Hope you do as well!

Don't like it don't buy it one less person on the server go troll somewhere else to ppl who actually care

Expressing opinions isn't trolling per se, but it is when you walk into a thread and say "OMG this sucks TES is RUINED FOREVER!!!!!111one" amongst people who want the online version.

Kleinstaff, I've played since Daggerfall. Everything they've broken, changed, and rearranged to this point doesn't put me off, nothing will I do play MMOs. I've played TES since WoW was still just Warcraft 2. Please stop acting like people who enjoy both are brain-dead. It's insulting.

Also, for whomever asked, Beta is supposed t start the end of the month. If Zenimax is anything like Bethesda though, expect that to be delayed.

I don't have any problem with ppl expressing opinions reason why I say troll go and look at how many posts on covering the same thing on skyrim news teso. Fine if ppl will not like it but talking about the same thing over and over 15 times its a bit excessive

I ve been following the development of ESO for some time and to be honest, in my opinion it will be a empty box

Lets be honest it is a carbon copy of the old DaoC , that was a great MMO but  the whole game concept  of that MMO is everything but compatible with what makes  the TES games  so great and succesfull

locked factions , predetermined  classes,  ,, a lore rewritten ( raped ) to fit the mmo , just to name a few  things
but most important  the inability to play and  modify the game to your needs and likings

the greatest selling point of the last 3 TES games  is the ability of the player to do and go  where ever he or she chooses , no limits
and the  ability to modify the game to how you want  to play it ,  gamemechanics, graphis, lorewise and most important improve the game beyond  what the developers  could have  only dream about

those things are not in ESO and will never be

in my opinion  the  audience they are targeting  is the average WoW player  that is bored of his little  gameworld  and want something new but has otherwise no idea what TES is all about
Sad descision by  bethestha  publishers , using a franchise name in the hope of selling  their  game ,what is otherwise just another mutant WoWclone

Is there a way to export the mods file to another machine? I play on a laptop and PC and i have just reinstalled Skyrim and I dread looking for all my mods to export to the new machine.

The new load order feature is definitely a plus for me though!

I signed up quite a while back and never got any confirmation on receiving my email. I checked my spam, my trash, everything. What gives? Does it take a long time to receive it? I did this about a week after it was able to sign up.

I'm really anxious to see if they'll allow me play. I love playing online betas!

Just so you know the info they get on you from that, can't harm you at all - people are scared of nothing.

I've been on the net for years, I've even went as far as to give my full first middle and last name, and still nothing happens to me.

    People are afraid of nothing.

There are always going to be things someone fears - how you handle it is what matters. Do something about it. Unless you want some cheese with that whine?

I find it funny to see how everywhere that has an ESO topic of discussion, people are complaining about how much info was asked.

*name and email-to contact you if you got in, and make sure you dont send more than one beta sign-up

*previous games (both tested and played)-to try to get more experienced people to test the game.

*any previous guilds-same as game experience

*what you like most in a mmorpg-to see what kind of audience they are going to cater to

*system specs-to know what they are dealing with and to try to work things out so they can get as many people playing as possible

it isn't like you gave out your social security number, this is how many beta sign-ups are.

I went, I started to fill in the info... then I stopped and left.

Someone please tell me that I'm not the only one who is uncomfortable about the amount of info they are asking?

Anyone get the ok for BETA testing yet? I still didn't and I was one of the many that was able to apply right when this news showed up in Nexus a few days ago. I know sometimes it takes a few months for BETA testers to know for sure.

The good news is, Two game developers from Bohemia Interactive are out of Prison now. They where charged for Espionage in Greece. Stories say they where getting research information for the new upcoming ArmA III, which put the release on Hold. The game was suppose to come out 6 months ago.

That is what I call a crime of pation. The developers going through great lengths to make a game as accurate as possible in a real life scenario. Well since ArmA III is suppose to take place in Modern Greece. Towns in game will be towns in RL. Greece Millitary equipment in game will be Greece Millitary equipment in RL.
