The Nexus chat room

  • Comment
As part of the server move and upgrade performed today on the forums I have added a new Chatroom application to the forums. Unlike the old chat room that was linked to the member bar that used to reside at the bottom of the screen the chatroom is a part of the forums themselves.

You'll need to be logged in to the forum to use them and they can be accessed here. You can also see how many users are online while on the forums in the top right corner of the page.

The chat rooms aren't meant for anything serious and you can use them to chat about anything you like. I'll be in them regularly so if you're having issues with the site you can come in and have a word with me and get some real-time support. It also possesses real-time private messaging between members that might be handy for some folks.

All-in-all a nice little gimmick in and of itself. I'll see you there.

Can someone experienced with modding please contact me with help for skyrim special edition with vortex? i have recently wiped all my mods got new ones and wanted to try requiem but now when i try to launch with skse64 launcher it tells me "Failed to locate an appropriate address library with the path :data/skse/plugins/versionlib" and it goes on like that, if anyone would be willing to join a discord call to help me it would be very much appreciated since i cant play the game currently unless i delete everything and start over a process that took me hours last night.

This post has had no replies since 2010... how did you even find it to necro?

The mods are always watching... hopefully not like Santa, who literally always watches you, if you catch my drift <img class=">

    They really are stupid.

What sort of dimbulb doesn't think that the admins have ways of finding out that they've been doing stupid stuff?

Yup, some dolts don't realise that the chat is fully logged. A few folks have been banned or warned because they thought no admin was around to moderate them.

I've noticed that the chat room seems like a fantastic tool for fishing out pirates and spammers... apparently some folk think that the chatroom is immune to the rules of this place.

It sure keeps things interesting. <img class=">

If we could have that or more moderators in there, that would be nice. <img class=">

With 30+ people in the mix, it can be difficult to catch up and follow what is being said with so many people cranking out replies.

Having been on IRC for over a decade and finding no problem having a discussion in a room with a handful of others going in parallel, I'll have to say the IP.Board chat gives me a terrible headache. It could be the tiny size of the chat frame, or the large, in my standards, font size and interline spacing, but can't tell for sure what the problem is. Perception bias, perhaps?

I'm hoping whoever is in charge of the chat could pester IP.Board to code in an ignore user function for users, because that's direly needed - especially in certain timezones when no moderators are around. The lack of means to deal with the spammers are driving off the people who actually have something productive to say.
