Download speeds question for US members

I would be interested to know what sort of download speeds US members are getting on the file server nearest to their location. Obviously normal members are capped at a maximum of 500kb/sec but I'd like to know how close people are getting to this figure in contrast to their actual download speed and their location. If you'd like to share this information please let me know as it would help me better understand the needs of you all.

Please provide your general location (the State you are living in), your line speed (56k up to 50mbit) and any other details you feel are pertinent.

    Extreme So. Florida, I hover around 450 to 500kps regardless of time or traffic the only time I have problems is when it's very overcast here, but thats my problem - Satellite link.

    I'm in Orlando Florida US and I recently upgraded to premium and no matter which premium site I choose, I get between 25 mega bit to 35 mega bit a second with my cable modem.

    A good investment I think.

    Perhaps a premium server in Washington DC would be a good idea. I would even add a donation to The Nexus sites in order to get a premium server w/ some decent speeds closer to me than Denver.

    I'm in Harrisburg PA. dl ul is 65mbps down and appx 7 up

    Well, I don't know what exactly I get, I'll check later but I do know I can download around 5000 KB's in around 5 seconds so about 500 KBps


    Also, you should add a server by Washington DC, since I am very close by in Frederick MD.

    I use a cable modem service, 10/100/1000 intel card, and most of the time select the Kent server. I can say that my average download is hitting 350 to 400kbs. My location is OHIO, USA

    I'd like to add something I've noticed recently. I am a premium member living in PA, I get only about 75kbps on the Denver Member Server. When I tried the UK premium server I got around 1.8mbps. Odd?

    Would it be possible to add a premium member server closer to the East Cost or even Dallas or Chicago?

    Normally, I have not really noticed so it probably was fairly adequate. However, for what ever reason it seems fairly slow today and while waiting for a file download read your request. 30-35 kbs.

    Here in Portland Maine, using Road Runner Turbo, my rated download speed is 15,000 kbps (1.875 Mb/s). On this site I am only getting download speeds of around 1600 kbps (200 Kb/s). My average download speed on other sites runs around 12,000 kbps (1.5 Mb/s).

    I'm getting around 1700 kbs, but it fluctuates slightly when I multi-download. Nice.

    In the past two to three weeks download speeds have slowed dramatically. Larger files are taking 15 to 20 minutes when before it took around 3.

    Regardless, this is a great site and your work is much appreciated.
