Aesthetic changes to file pages

  • Comment
The file database on all Nexus sites has been updated with a new aethsetic look and rearranging in both categories and file entries. The image gallery now works in a similar way to the "Hot files" box, showing images that the owner of the file has uploaded (and not images by other users).

Everything is looking good now. The only place that problem persists in in the Fallout 3 "Updates Recently" listings. This does not effect the Nexus. That is fine now. Otherwise the changes are quite positive.

Tried to take a screen shot and failed, but I think these changes are otherwise very positive, thank you.

The browser is the latest Firefox.

I have spent the past hour trying to figure out how to disable the animations.

What I am talking about specifically, is the way you play the images in a gallery on a file page.

I guess most people don't mind, or maybe appreciate this, but the FIRST thing I do when I get a new computer is to tear out Flash, then make sure the "Play Animations in Web Pages" is unchecked.

I find the movement so distracting, that that's all I can think about. Most people are able to ignore them; I can't.

I found that I CAN disable active scripting, which stops the images from playing--and also disables about 80% of the rest of the site as well, making it totally unusable, so that is not really an option.

This had been my favorite site, but I find the animated images so distracting that I won't be able to keep visiting.

There needs to be a way to stop animations.

Maybe I'm the only one in the world that hates things moving on the screen, but I can't stand that you have animated all the pictures and there is no way for me to turn that "feature" off.

I can't concentrate when the pictures for a page are flashing by, so I can't do anything.

I fear that my days at Nexus are rapidly coming to an end.

With full screen at 1600 X 1200 the listings in updates today still require two lines to display the individual listing.

It used to list the entries neatly without having the browser maxed...and there is an acre of open space between the listings and the usual material on the right side of the page.

Without the browser maxed to full screen the listings are a jumble.

What site? What browser? Are you checking this in safe-mode (no plugins/addons for your browser)? Can you take a screenshot of the problem and upload it?

I realize you may be working on it at this exact moment but it's really screwed up right now. All white background and everything pushed to the left side.

This sounds like No Style selected in View, Style for IE, I don't know the settings for Firefox or any other browser.

    Crash

Aplologies if I am hassling, but I wanted to ask whether the numbered list (list=1) will be corrected for the Nexus Description pages. As reported, the numbers are offset to the left and, as a result, do not get displayed.

    Many thanks for your attention.

I haven't touched it today. Is this still a problem? On what site? On what page? In what browser? At what resolution?
